<br />Resolution of Intention, be Im-
<br />proved as follows, to -wit:
<br />By having constructed thereon
<br />and therein vitrified saltglazed
<br />the pipe sanitary sewers with
<br />red burnt brick manholes capped;,
<br />with cast iron frames and cov-
<br />ers
<br />overs and with lampholes capped
<br />with cast iron frames and covers
<br />and with wyes and laterals all of
<br />the sizes, dimensions and 'mate-
<br />rials and In the positions and Io -
<br />cations as shown and desdribed
<br />on the plane, profiles and spect-
<br />`fications .hereinafter referred to
<br />herein; and also that a compres-
<br />sor house nine feet by twelve .
<br />feet with cement concrete floor
<br />and warts of pressed tile and
<br />composition roof be constructed
<br />In the ten -toot easement herein-
<br />before mentioned at the north-
<br />easterly end' of Rogers Street; all
<br />as the same are shown, de-
<br />scribed and located on the. plans,
<br />;profiles and specifications herein --
<br />after mentioned; and also that
<br />one ejector with_ a capacity of
<br />not less than 100 gallons per
<br />minute against a total head of
<br />30 feet, together with one con-
<br />tinuous duty slow speed 40 de-
<br />gree motor of 3 horse power and
<br />suitable for alternating current
<br />220 volt 3 phase 60 cycles, with
<br />slide base, short leather belt pul-
<br />leys and Idler and one horizontal
<br />double acting air compressor,'
<br />splash lubricated, water jacketed
<br />and capable of supplying suffi-
<br />cient air at requisite pressure to
<br />operate the ejector continuous -
<br />�ly under the conditions herein
<br />and -in -the plans, profiles and
<br />specifications herein .mentioned
<br />described, with starting nnloade'r
<br />and relief valve and with one
<br />air tank of black steel 3 feet
<br />$ inches In diameter and 8 feet
<br />long, tested to 100 pounds air
<br />pressure and supplied with a
<br />blow -off cock and 'pressure gauge,
<br />together with one complete set of
<br />starting devices, including ad-
<br />justable automatic pressure rega-
<br />later to operate on a variation
<br />of not over 6 pounds pressure,,
<br />self starter, main line switch, pro-
<br />tective devices aiip mounted on
<br />suitable slate panel and angle
<br />iron frame, together with all Pip -
<br />Ing, pipe connections, valves and
<br />fittings required for the com-
<br />plete operation of the herein men-
<br />tioned plant, together with the
<br />construction of a pit for the erec-
<br />tion-of
<br />rec-
<br />tion of said ejector, all.as shown
<br />and described and located and of
<br />the materials, sizes and dimen-
<br />sions as shown on the plane; pro-
<br />files and specifications herein-
<br />after particularly referred to hera-
<br />in, said ejector pit an dsald com-
<br />pressor house and equipment to
<br />be constructed in place in that
<br />certain ten foot easement here-
<br />inbefore mentioned and described
<br />and at the northeasterly end 'of
<br />Rogers Street.
<br />Whenever manholes or lamp -
<br />holes are to be constructed along 4
<br />the Me, of any sewer mentioned
<br />herein ,said manholes and lamp -
<br />holes shall be connected with said
<br />sewer.
<br />Whenever any sewer is to be
<br />,constructed as herein provided
<br />and there are manholes or lamp -
<br />holes existing along the Iine
<br />thereof said sewer is to be con-,
<br />nected with said existing man=
<br />holes or lampholes.
<br />The width of the streets and
<br />right of way above described and
<br />the width of the roadways of.satd
<br />streets and the width of the side-
<br />walks, of said' streets are to be
<br />and are as shown on the plane,
<br />profllas and' specifications here-
<br />inafter particularly referred to
<br />herein.
<br />That the official elevations for
<br />the street grades of said streets
<br />and portions thereof, crown
<br />grades; curb. grades and grade
<br />elevations for top of gutters be
<br />changed and grades different
<br />from those established or'adopted
<br />prior to the adoption by the
<br />Board of Trustees of the `town
<br />of Redwood City of the plans,
<br />profiles and specifications here-
<br />lnafter referred to herein shall
<br />be adopted, and such official and
<br />different and prior grades shall
<br />be modified and are,hereby modi-
<br />fied and cbanged so that the of-

<br />the foregoing described work and
<br />improvements aro of more than

<br />benefited by said work and Im-
<br />provemeuts; that therefore the
<br />entire costa and expenses of asid .

<br />of said Board in reading said proposals or bids award the contract for said work and
<br />improvements hereinbefore mentioned. to H E Connors when in fact said H E Connors was not
<br />the lowest regular responsible bidder but Manuel Smith was and is the lowest regular
<br />responsible bidder for said work and improvements.
<br />NOW THEREFORV BE IT RESOLVED by'the Board of Trustees of the Town. of Redwood City
<br />that the Resolution of Award I3o. J-7 heretofore passed by this Board of Trustees award-
<br />ing to H E Connors'the contract for the work and improvements hereinbefore mentioned be
<br />and the same is hereby recinded and set aside for the reason that said H E Connors was
<br />not in fact the lowest regular reponsible bidder for said work and improvements$ and
<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said Board of Trustees rejects all proposals or bids
<br />for the work and improvements hereinbefore -mentioned• and hereby awards the contract to
<br />Manuel Smith at the prices named for said
<br />the lowest regular responsible bidder to -wit:
