11 <br />319 <br />, Redwood City Oct 17, 1927, 7.30 o'clock., P.T.I. <br />Regular metting of the City Council held. <br />Upon, roll call there were present Councilmen LIajor H.A.Beeger, Z.T.Thorning, D.R. <br />Stafford, G.'J.LIcNulty, City Clerk, vI.A.Price. <br />Absent, Councilmen, E.M.Dearborn. <br />On motion of Councilman McXulty, seconded by Councilman Thorning, minutes of the <br />prevkou-s meeting be approved as read. Motion carried. <br />A Communication from Jack Dougherty in regards to claim avainst the City in the Am- <br />ount of X4500.00, resulting from the change of grades in front of his property on Hill- <br />side Ave. was on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Stafford same be <br />received and filed. Motion carried. <br />A Communication from the County nurse of County Clinic calling the attention of the <br />Board tm the condition of Ivy Street, was on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by <br />Councilman Stafford same be referred to the Supt of Streets, Motion carried. <br />A Communication from the Redwood City Merchant's Assn requesting the Board to take <br />such action as will make it possible for merchants having no rear entrance to,reseve a <br />"No Parking" space at Ithbtr front curb, was on motion of Councilman Stafford, seconded <br />by -Councilman Thorning, same be received and filed. Motion carried. <br />Application of the Italian Catholic Federation to hold a dance in Foxesters Hall, <br />October 29th, 1927 until One o'clock, and application of the Redwood, City Fire Dept to <br />hold a dance in Foresters Hall Oct 221 1927, until One o'clock, was on motion of Coun- <br />V oilman Thorning, seconded by Councilman Mr%Nulty said permits be granted.Motion carried. <br />Application of the Pacific Gas & Electric Co for permission to set two poles on <br />Topaz Street, as per Blue print No.1419-R, was on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded <br />-by Councilman Thorning same be granted,. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Stdfford offers Ordinance No. 27411 and moves its introduction (An Ordin- <br />ance regulating the parking of automobiles upon the streets of the Town of Redwood City) <br />Councilman McNulty seconds the motion. Motion carried. <br />On motion of Councilman Thorning, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the City Engineer <br />beinstructed to prepare plans and specifications for the replacing of the sidewalk and <br />curb on Cooper and Pine streets fronting the Pacific Silicate Co property,Motion carriel. <br />Moved by Councilman Thorning, seconded by Councilman -the City Purchasing Agent be <br />authorized to purchase 250 feet of 22 inch fire hose specifications to be furnished by <br />Fire clhidf Ryan.
