<br />RESOLUTION DECLARING NUISANCE NO. L-4.

<br />RESOLVED by the .Council of the, Town of Redwood City that whereas, certain weeds are
<br />d.
<br />growing in the Town of Redwood City upon all of the streets, avenues, roads, boulevards and
<br />highways in said Town and up -an all the lots and property, in said Town, which weeds are of a
<br />kind which bear seeds of a wingy or downy nature and will attain such large grofth as to bee -
<br />ed
<br />oma a fire menace when dry; and whereas, said weeds constitute a public menace.
<br />NOW THEREFORE, it is hereby declared that the said weeds do now constitute and will
<br />continue to constitute a public menace, and it is hereby ordered that the said public menace
<br />be abated in the manner provided by that certain act of the Legislature of the State of Calif-
<br />ornia entitled "An Act Authorizing Municipalities to Declare Noxious or Dangerous Weeds Grow-
<br />ing upon the Streets or Sidewalksor upon Private Property within Municipalities to be a Public
<br />Nuisance, Crating a,Lien upon the Property Fronting on such Streets or Sidewalks or upon which
<br />such Nuisance Exists, for the Cost of Abating the same", approved May 26th, 1915, together with
<br />acts amendatory thereof.

<br />fiThe streets, avenues, roads boulevards and highways upon which, and the lots and
<br />2, property upon which such nuisance exits, are all the streets, avenues roads, boulevards and
<br />highways and all the lots and property in said Town of Redwood City and all the lots and prop-
<br />erty in said Town of Redwood City and all the lots and property fronting upon the streets,
<br />avenues, roads, boulevards and highways in said Town of Redwood City.
<br />The Superittrendent of Streets of the Town of Redwood City is hereby directed to give
<br />�! the notice required by Se-ation 3 of said Act hereinbefore mentioned and referred to herein, and
<br />` he shall cause said notices to be immediately posted in front of the property as designated in
<br />this resolution.
<br />That Monday, the 6th day of -May,, 1929, at the hour of 8 o'clock P.M. of said day
<br />at the meeting place of the Council of said Town of Redwood City, in the Council Chamber in
<br />the Town Hall on Webster St in said Town of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of Calif-
<br />ornia,be and the same is hereby fixed as the day, hour and place when objections to the removal
<br />of such weeds will be heard and given due consideration, and that said notices shall be posted
<br />at least five days prior to the time of the hearing of objections as fixed by said Council.
<br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the Town of Redwood City at a regular meet -
<br />thereof held on the 15th day of April, 1929, by the following vote:
