<br />Regular meeting of the City Council held.
<br />Upon roll call there were present Councilmen Mayor H.A.Beege:V, Z.T.Thorning,D.R.Staff-
<br />ord, G.W.McNulty, E.M.Dearborn, City Clerk w.A.Price.
<br />Minutes of regular meeting held May 6th, and regular adjourned meeting held May 13th,
<br />1929, were read and on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Stafford same be
<br />1 approved as read. Motion carried,
<br />On motion of Councilman Thorning, seconded by Councilman McNulty, Mr Deluchi be given
<br />permission to erect a corrugated iron frame building on Lot 12, Block H. Woodside Acres.
<br />Motion carried.
<br />Communication from the South Redwood Improvement Club asking the Council to give some
<br />consideration to the traffic regulation at the five points crossing, was on motion of Council-
<br />man McNulty, seconded by Councilman Thorning, same be received and filed for future reference.
<br />Motion carried
<br />Affidavit of Jas D. Hedge in the matter of publishing notice to bidders for a deep well
<br />pump and motor was on motion of Councilman Dearborn, seconded by Councilman P.2cNulty said affid-
<br />avit be received and filed. ItiIotion carried.
<br />The following bids were received publicly opened examined, and declared, to -wit:

<br />Moved by Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Thorning the bids be referred to
<br />the City Engineer, to check upon. Motion carried.
<br />Application of Myron A. Rees for a permit to operate a Taxicab business in City of
<br />Redwood City, was on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Dearborn, said permit
<br />be granted. Motion carried.
<br />A protest from four property owners who have property on Oak Ave between Ramona and
<br />Laguna Avenue regarding street improvements, was on motion of Councilman Dearborn, seconded by
<br />CouncilmanMcNulty, said Protest be referred to the Chairman of the Street Committee, and City
<br />Engineer. Motion carried.
<br />Communication from the Portland Cement Plant of Redwood City, asking the Council to
<br />use home product in street improvements was on motion of Councilman Thorning, seconded by Coun-
<br />cilman McNulty same be received and filed. Motion carried.
<br />On motion of Councilman Dearborn, seconded by Councilman McNulty, Campbell & Budlong
<br />Machine Works of San Jose, be awarded the contract for the deep well pump and motor for the
<br />price named in their bid ($809.21), and the certified checks be retmrn.ed to the unsuccesful
<br />bidders, Motion carried.
<br />Moved by Councilman Thorning, seconded by Councilman McNulty,the City donate the
<br />usaul 050.00 to the Redwood City Girl Scouts. Motion carried.
