Iviotion carried. <br />Councilman McNulty offers Ordinance No. 296, (An ordinance calling a special election <br />in the Town of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of California, for the purpose ,of <br />submitting and submitting to the qualified votes of said Town of Redwood City the proposition <br />to incur a bonded indebtedmess to pay the cost of certain municipal improvememts in and for <br />said Town the cost of which will, be too great to be paid out of the ordinary annual income <br />and revenue of said Town, Ahd contoclilaihing said special municipal election to be held in <br />said flown of Redwood City on the 11th day of June, 1929, as required and provided by the <br />charter of said Town, )and moves its adoption, Coundilman Thorning seconds the motion. <br />Motion carried. <br />Communication from the Redwood City Promotion Assn asking the Council to use the <br />6000.00 balance in the Jefferso Ave Fire House Fund in purchasing a fire ladder truck,was <br />on motion of Councilman DearUr4 seconded by Councilman McNulty same be received and filed. <br />Motion carried. <br />An invitation from the San Leandro Cherry Carvinal Committee to attend their annual <br />cherry festival, June 3th, to June 8th, 1929, was on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded <br />by Councilman Dearborn same be referred to the Redwood City Chamber of Commerce, Motion ca- <br />rried. <br />P,Zoved by Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Dearborn the City Engineer be <br />instructed to construct a concrete gutter on Stambaugh St from Walnut to Main Street, the <br />City to pay one half and Mr R. Holmquist the owner of the and in front of his property is <br />to pay the other half.
