A. Beeger Mayor of the Town of !redwood Uity' Councilman Dearborn offers the following Resolution and moves its adoption, Couneilrgan Stafford seconds the motion, motion carried. RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. L-5. RESOLVED, that the public interest and public convenience require and that it is the intention of the Council of the TOWN OF REDWOOD CITY, County of San Niateo, State of California, to order the following work to be done in said Town; to -wit: That the following described portion of Laurel Street in said Town of Redwood City be closed and vacated as a public street and highway, to -wit: Laurel street from the southwesterly line of the Southern Pacific Railroad Com - panys main line right of way to southwesterly line of Chew street. And also that the following described portion of Williw street in said Townof Redwood City be closed and vacated as a public street and highway, to -wit:. Willow street from the southwesterly line of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company's main line right of way to the southwesterly line of Chew street. And said Council of the Town of Redwood City does hereby determine and declare that it is unnecessary to take any lands for the work of closing said hereinbefore mention portion of Laurel street and Willow street and that it is unnecessary to levy any assessment to provide for the closing of said portion of Laurel street and Willow street. All the herein proposed work shall be done in pursuande of and in conformity with an act of the Legislature of the State of California entitled "An Act to Provide for the Laying out, Opening, Extending,.Widening, lengthening, or closing up, in whole or in Part, any Street square, Lane, Ally, Court or Place within municipalities, and to Condem and acquire any and all Lands and property necessary and convenient for that Purpose", approved March 6, 1889, and the several acts amendatory therof or supple- mental therein. The Street Superintendent of the Town of Redwood City is hereby ordered and dir- ected to post notices of the passage of this Resolution of Intention in time form, and manner and number as required by law, and he is also divected to cause to be pubic hed in the Redwood City Tribune, a daily newspaper published, printed and circulated in r;a said Town of Redwood City,and hereby designated for that purpose bytthe Council of said Town, a notice of the passage of said Resolution of Intention No. L.-5, similar in substance to the notices ordered posted as aforesaid and for the period required, by law.
