Beeger <br />Mayor of the Town of !redwood Uity' <br />Councilman Dearborn offers the following Resolution and moves its adoption, <br />Couneilrgan Stafford seconds the motion, motion carried. <br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. L-5. <br />RESOLVED, that the public interest and public convenience require and that it is <br />the intention of the Council of the TOWN OF REDWOOD CITY, County of San Niateo, State <br />of California, to order the following work to be done in said Town; to -wit: <br />That the following described portion of Laurel Street in said Town of Redwood <br />City be closed and vacated as a public street and highway, to -wit: <br />Laurel street from the southwesterly line of the Southern Pacific Railroad Com - <br />panys main line right of way to southwesterly line of Chew street. <br />And also that the following described portion of Williw street in said Townof <br />Redwood City be closed and vacated as a public street and highway, to -wit:. <br />Willow street from the southwesterly line of the Southern Pacific Railroad <br />Company's main line right of way to the southwesterly line of Chew street. <br />And said Council of the Town of Redwood City does hereby determine and declare <br />that it is unnecessary to take any lands for the work of closing said hereinbefore <br />mention portion of Laurel street and Willow street and that it is unnecessary to levy <br />any assessment to provide for the closing of said portion of Laurel street and Willow <br />street. <br />All the herein proposed work shall be done in pursuande of and in conformity with <br />an act of the Legislature of the State of California entitled "An Act to Provide for <br />the Laying out, Opening, Extending,.Widening, lengthening, or closing up, in whole or <br />in Part, any Street square, Lane, Ally, Court or Place within municipalities, and to <br />Condem and acquire any and all Lands and property necessary and convenient for that <br />Purpose", approved March 6, 1889, and the several acts amendatory therof or supple- <br />mental therein. <br />The Street Superintendent of the Town of Redwood City is hereby ordered and dir- <br />ected to post notices of the passage of this Resolution of Intention in time form, and <br />manner and number as required by law, and he is also divected to cause to be pubic hed <br />in the Redwood City Tribune, a daily newspaper published, printed and circulated in r;a <br />said Town of Redwood City,and hereby designated for that purpose bytthe Council of <br />said Town, a notice of the passage of said Resolution of Intention No. L.-5, similar <br />in substance to the notices ordered posted as aforesaid and for the period required, <br />by law. <br />And notice is hereby given that all persona interested and dAjecting to said :acr <br />work may make written objections thereto, in time, form and manner as provided by <br />
