<br />Regular meeting of the City Council held.
<br />Upon roll call there were present Councilmen Mayor H.A.Beeger, D.R.atfford,G.W.McNulty,
<br />E.M.Dearborn, City Clerk W.A.Price.
<br />Absent, Councilman Z.T.Thorning.
<br />Minutes of regular meeting held May 20th, 1929 were read, and on motion of Councilman
<br />McNulty, seconded by Councilman Dearborn same be approved as read. ir2otion carried.
<br />Affidavit of James D. Hedge in the matter of Publishtng notice to bidders for a tra-
<br />ffice signal for Broadway and Highway, was on motion of Councilman McNulty, sedonded by Coun-
<br />cilman Dearborn, said affidavit be received and filed. Motion carried.
<br />The following bids were receives publicly open examined, and declared,to-wit:
<br />NAME OF BIDDER; Street Lighting & Equipment Co. Furnishing Traffice Signal f.o.b.
<br />factory in the amount of 01081.75
<br />NAME OF BIDDER; City Improvement Co. Furnishing and installing Traffice Signal
<br />in the amount of �jp1900.00
<br />On motion of Councilman Dearborn, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the bids for traf-
<br />fie signal be referred to the Supt of Streets to report at next meeting. Iviotion carried
<br />Application of Al Markgraf for permits to hold a dance in foresters Hall,Saturday
<br />evenings until One o'clock, June, 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29. 1929, was on motion of Councilman
<br />McNulty seconded by Councilman Stafford, said permits be granted. Motion carried.
<br />Application of the Pacific Tel & Tel Co for permission to place underground lateral
<br />across Hamilton Street, also to extend a lateral from manhole at the corner Broadway and
<br />Webster Street, was on motion of Councilman Dearborn, seconded by Councilman McNulty, said
<br />a
<br />permits be granted. Motion carried. G

<br />Communication from I. -Ir C.D.Swett calling the attention of the Council to certain bills
<br />signed by the Governor regarding the carrying If automobile insurance of Municipal Corpor-
<br />ation, and asking the opportunity of submitting figures on this coverage, was on motion of
<br />Councilman Dearborn, seconded by Councilman McNulty same be received and filed.Motion.carried. !

<br />Councilman Dearborn offers Ordinance No.2951 (An ordinance rezoning certain property

<br />in the Town of Redwood City from the secondresidential district to the Business District, as
<br />provided by ordinance No. 251 of said Town) and moves its adoption, Councilman McNulty seconds
<br />the motion. Motion carried.
<br />Communication from the Redwood City Promotion Assn requesting that they be informed
<br />when any futher street work is to be done by the City, was on motion of Councilman McNulty
<br />seconded by Councilman Stafford same bec.received and filed. Motion carried.

<br />McNulty seconds the motion. Motion carried.
