<br />Moved by Councilman McCatbhy seconded by Councilman Dusel that the further consideration
<br />of the foregoing bids and the selling of said bonds be continued to next regular meeting.
<br />Motion carried.
<br />Moved by Councilman McCarthy seconded by Councilman Stafford that the action of the
<br />council in continuing the consideration of the foregoing bids on the ;55,000 municipal-
<br />bonds
<br />unicipalbonds to next regular metting be reconsidered and reclinded. PJIotion.Carried.
<br />Said council then proceeded to reconsider said foregoing bids and after having fully
<br />and duly considered all thereof the following resolution was offered and adopted, to wit:
<br />Councilman IJcCarthy presents the following resolution and moves its adoption:
<br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City did, on the 3rd day of June, .19299
<br />at a regular meeting of said Council, pass and adopt a motion determining that the
<br />Municipal Improvement Bonds of 1929, dated Islay 20th,1929 of said City, in the amount of ,
<br />Fifty-five Thousand (055,000.00) Dollars, being the bonds issued for certain municipal
<br />improvements in said City in pursuance of a special election held in said City on the
<br />9th day of April, 1929, be sold at private sale on the 17th day of June, 1929, at the
<br />hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M. of said day; and whereas, the Clerk of the City of Redwood City
<br />did notify a number of the bond companies who usually purchase municipal bonds of the time
<br />and place of said sale; and whereas, the Clerk of the City of Redwood City did notify
<br />the State Board of Control and the State Treasurer of the State of O&lifo rnia at Sacramento
<br />of the time and place of the sale of said bonds, as required by law; and
<br />WHEREAS, this is the time and place fixed for the sale of said bonds, and said
<br />Council of the City of Redwood City having received a bid form R. H. Moulton & Company
<br />offering to take al of said bonds and to pay therefor par, accrued interest to date of
<br />delivery and a premium in the sum of Six Hundred Eighty-nine ($689.00) Dollars, and which
<br />said bid of R. H. Moulton & Company appearing to said Council to be the highest and best
<br />bid for said bonds;
<br />IiOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City that the
<br />bid of R. H. Moulton & Company for the whole issue of said Municipal improvement Bonds
<br />of 1929, dated May 20th, 1929, of said City, numbered from 1 to 80, both numbers in-
<br />clusive, aggregating Fifty-five Thousand (555,000.00) Dollars, be and they are hereby
<br />sold to R.H. Moulton & Company for par, accrued interest to date of delivery and a pre-
<br />mium of Six Hundred Eighty-nine (`"'689.00) dollars; and
<br />BE IT FURTEER RESOLVED that the TreasuVer of said City of Redwood City, upon the
<br />payment of said sum of par, being Pifty-five '.'housand (0559000.00) Dollars, accrued in-
