A communication from the Redwood City Promotion Assn in regards to using the 1.03 <br />fire house auditorium for offices for the City Attorney and the City Engineer Department <br />thereby taking care of the records of these two offices in case of fire, was on motion of <br />Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Thouning said communication be received and <br />filed and referred to the Committee of Utilities. Motion carried <br />On motion of Councilman Thorning, seconded by Councilman Dearborn on the recommendation <br />of the Library Trustees, Mrs A.S.Kalenborn be re -appointed a member of the Trustees of the <br />Free Public Library. Motion carried. <br />Application of R. E. Hass of 891 Brunswick St, San Francisco, for a Master Plumbers <br />license, was, on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Dearborn said appli- <br />cation be granted. Motion carried. <br />I <br />Communication to the Mayor from the American Brotherhood of Free Reading For The Blind. <br />thanking him for the previlege of holding a tag day in this City, was on motion of Councilman <br />McNulty seconded by Councilman Dearborn same be received and filed. Motion carried.. <br />Application of Bay View Lodge #109 I.O.O.F. for a permit to hold a dance in the L.O.O.F, <br />s <br />Hall Saturday evening June 22nd, 1829, -until ONE o'clock, was on motion of Councilman Thoen- <br />ing, seconded by Councilman Stafford same be granted. Motion carried. <br />Communication from Mr C. G. Lambert regarding Assembly bill X595 and signed by Governor <br />holding the City responsible for their employees in auto accidents, was on motion of Counc- <br />ilman Thorning, seconded by Councilman IdicNulty same be received and filed. Motion carried. <br />On motion of Councilman Thorning, seconded by Councilman McNulty the contract for the <br />Traffic Signal at Broadway, and. Highway be awarded to the City Improvement Co of Oakland <br />c ' <br />Calif, in the amount of their bid 01900.00. Motion carried. <br />On motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Thorning the Mayor be appointed <br />to represent the City in bidding in the Free Library property. Motion carried. <br />re - <br />On motion of Councilman McCartjsy, seconded by Councilman Dusel, Mr B.E.Myers be/appoin- <br />ted City Treasurer. Motion carried. <br />On motion of Councilman Stafford, seconded by Councilman Dearborn Mr Albert Mansfield <br />be re -appointed City Attorney. Motion carried. <br />Moved by Councilman Stafford, seconded by Councilman Morning, Mr A.H.Reith be re -app- <br />ointed member of the City Planning Commission. Motion carried. <br />On motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Thorning that warrants be drawn <br />on the respectful funds for the claims passed on and O.KED, by the Fiaance Committee. <br />Motion carried. <br />Affidavit of W. A. Price showing that he mailed notice of sale of v55,000 Municipal <br />bonds of 1929 of Redwood City to State Treasurer and State Board of Control as required by <br />law and to a number of bond buyers vino usually bid on our municipal bonds was on motion of <br />Councilman Dearborn seconded by Councilman.I.lcNulty and carried received and filed. <br />This being the time for opening the bids of said 055,000 of municipal bonds of 1929 <br />of said City of Redwood City, the Clerk proceed• to open and declare all bids which he had <br />received and which were as follows, to -wit: <br />Bond, Goodwin & Fucker, par, accrued interest to date of delivery and a premium of 02083. <br />American National Company, par, accrued interest to date of delivery and a premium of '11888. <br />First National Bank of San Mateo County, par, accrued interest to date of delivery and a <br />premium of '"'1011. <br />
