106, Redwood City June 26, 1929. 8 O'clock P. M, <br />Regular adjourned metting of the City Council held. <br />Councilmen <br />Upon roll call there were present mayor H. A. Beeger, Z. D. Thorning, D. R. <br />Stafford, G. W. Yc Nulty, W. J. Dusel, P. A. McCarthy, City Clerk W. A. Price, <br />Absent Councilmen E. 141. Dearborn. <br />I,iinutes of the last meeting of June 17th 1929, was on motion of Councilman <br />McNulty, seconded b,-,- Councilmen i'harning, said minutes be despensed with until the next <br />regular meeting. Motion carried. <br />Communication from Emmett Donnelly calling the council attention to the recent <br />passage of a state law reletive to property damage and public liability coverage for motor <br />cyles and motor vehicles, owned and operated by cities, towns, or counties, was on motion <br />of Councilman Staff ord,seconded by Councilman McNulty, that said communication were received <br />and filed. Motion carried. <br />A petition was received from seven property owners and tax payers in the vicinity <br />of Fulton Street and Vera Avenue, regarding a cow which they claim as a menace of the health <br />of that vicinity, and requesting the hoard in their power to have said cow, removed to a <br />ruled district, was on motion of Councilman McCarthy seconded by Councilman Me Nulty, said <br />petition be referred to the Chief of Police, and the health officer, to have said conditions <br />abated. Motion carried. <br />On motion of Oouncilman,Iid Carthy, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the following <br />deeds Maud M Hayward, a widow, H. A. Beeger, and Dove H. Beeger, his wife, Kenneth S.,IViurray, <br />and Bertha Murray, his wife, Hall C. Ross, and Julia B. Ross, his wife, Lee T. Ross, unmarried, <br />All of the county of San Mateo, State of California. To wit -- <br />RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City that the hereunto annexed , <br />deed be and the same is hereby accepted by said City, and the Clerk of said City is hereby <br />ordered and directed to have said deed recorded in the office of the County Recorder of <br />the County of San Mateo, State of Oa.lifornia. <br />I hereby certify the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly adopted by the <br />Council of the City of Redwood City on the 26th day of June, 1929, by the following vote: <br />Ayes, Oouncilmen: Z. Price <br />Clerk of the City of Redwood city <br />and ex -officio Clerk of the <br />Council of said City <br />On motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Stafford, the city <br />attorney, be authorized to sign the escrow of the above deeds and to the San Mateo County Title <br />Abstract Company-- Motion carried. <br />On motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Stafford, the Ci°ity, <br />Treasurer be authorized to dravr a warrant in the amount Twelve 'Thousand Nine Hundred and <br />Seventy-seven and twelve cents (%12,977.12) Dollars in favor of the San Mateo County Title <br />Company in Escrow. motion carried. <br />9 <br />On motion of Councilman Stafford, seconded by Councilman McCarthy, in the matter <br />of improving the highway through the City be referred to a City Engineer, DeMmit, he to act in <br />+ 5i <br />
