Benning of the Redwood City Tribune in the matter of publishing not- <br />ice of filing e.treet assessment and of time fix for hearing thereon and Affadavit of 111. A. <br />Price, City Clerk in the matter of posting notice of filing ..assessment and mailing notice <br />i <br />of filing assessment under resolution No. K-10 was on motion of Counbilmen Mc Nulty second- <br />ed by Councilmen Dearborn said Affadavit be received and filed. Votion carried. <br />RESOLUTIOIi OVERRULING PROTESTS AND OBJECTIONS TO <br />CONFIRMATION OF ASSESSMENT UNDER RESOLUTION OF <br />INTE112IOIT NO. X-10 AILD COI;FIRKIIIG SAID ASSMSLENT. <br />WHL'REAS, the assessment for street -work done under that certain contract dated the <br />29th day of December, 1928, between the Peninsula Paving Company, first party, and C. L. <br />I <br />Dimmitt, as Superintendent of Streets of the Town of RePviood City, second party, for the <br />doing of all street work mentioned and described in Resolution of Intention No. X.-10, pass- <br />ed and adopted by the Council of the Town. of Redwood City on the 15th day of October, 192.8, <br />and now on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Redwood City, to vvhich Resol- <br />ution of Intention reference id hereby made for a description of said work, was filed in <br />the office of <br />the Clerk of <br />said <br />Town of Re.dtood City <br />on <br />the <br />lath day of <br />June, <br />1929; and <br />WHEREAS, <br />said Clerk <br />did <br />thereupon fix Monday <br />the <br />lst <br />day of July, <br />1929, <br />at the hour <br />of 8 o'clock P. M. of said day, at the meeting place of said Coulzcil of the City of Redwood <br />City in the Council Chamber in the City Hall on Webster Street in said City, as the timeand <br />place of hearing on said assessment, as required b;y law, and as the time and place for mak- <br />ing written objections thereto, as provided for in the Improvement Act of 1011; and <br />VMEREAS, notice of the filing of said assessment and of the time fixed for hearing <br />thereon was duly given by posting, mailing and publishing, as required by law, as appears <br />from the affidavits of Lora C. Banning and Edi A. Price, City Clerk, and now on file in the <br />office of the Clerk of said City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, at the time and place last herein mentioned, certain written objections <br />and appeals were mate against the work performed under said Resolution of Intention No. E-10 <br />and assessment therefore; and <br />VMEREAS, the Cou;cil of the City of redwood City did proceed to he�.r and consider <br />said protests and objections and appeals and after having duly and fully considered the same: <br />NOW =T REFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City that said <br />protests and objections and appeals and the same are hereby overruled, and denied and the <br />Council does hereby determine that the work performed umder said Resolution of Intention <br />No. K-10 was performed according to the plans and specifications and in a �Yaod and workman - <br />'`like and substantial manner, and said Council does hereby ap�rove said work <br />and all acts <br />and determinations of the Superintendent of Streets in relation thereto. <br />AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City that the ass- <br />essment herein mentioned for street work done umder said Resolution of Intention No. K. 10, <br />herein before referred to herein, together with the diagram attached thereto, <br />
