<br />Regular meeting of the City Council held.
<br />I' Upon roll there were present, Councilmen Mayor. H. A. Beeger, Z. T. Thorning, D.R. Staff-
<br />ord, G. W. McNulty, N. J. Dusel, P. A. "McCarthy, Clerk W. A. Price,
<br />Absent, Councilman E. M. Dearborn.
<br />j Minutes of meeting held August 5th, 1929 were read and on motion of Councilman McCarthy,
<br />seconded b Councilman Stafford same be approved as read. Motion carried. 114

<br />J on motion of Councilman Stafford, seconded by Councilman Thorning, the City Attorney be
<br />instructed to prepare an ordinance regulating the Butcher's business.of the City of Redwood
<br />City, Motion carried.
<br />A petition was presented to the council consisting of thirty five property owners in the
<br />vinicity of Five Point district in regard to the Auto Camp situated at Reswood Av. on the High-
<br />way was on motion of Councilman Dusel, seconded by Co"cilman Stafford said petition be re-
<br />ferred to the City Manager and the Building inspector. Motion carried.
<br />Affidavit of Sam. H. Winklebleck of the Redwood City ,Tribune in the matter of calling for
<br />bids for hook and ladder truck was on motion of Councilman 1(cNulty,'seconded by Councilman Me-*',,,
<br />Carthy, said that affidavit be received and filed. Motion carried.
<br />The following bids were received publically opened, examined and declared to -wit. The
<br />sea grave corporation Mack Auto Co., White Auto., American LaFrance, Wewin Fox Co.
<br />On motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Thorning the bids for the hook
<br />and ladder truck were received without a certifXed check. Motion carried.
<br />On motion of Councilman Stafford, seconded by Councilman McCarthy bids for the hook and
<br />ladder truck be received and filed and referred to the City Manager, the Fire Chief, and Fire

<br />Commissioners. Motion carried.
<br />To the Honorable Mr. Mayor and City Council;
<br />Gentlemen; I hereby tender my resignation as a member of your/City Council such resig-
<br />nation to take effect at once.

<br />On motion of Councilman Stafford, seconded by Councilman Dusel, the appointment of C.
<br />Drathman as Health Ofiicer of the City of Redwood City on recommendation of the City Manager
<br />be approved by the Council.
