Motion <br />carried. <br />Moved by Councilman McNulty the following Resolution be adopted. Councilman Dasel, se- <br />cond the motion. Motion carried. <br />RESOLUTION CLOSING AND VACATING CERTAIN STREETS <br />AND PORTIONS THEREOF IN THE TOWN OF REDWOOD CITY <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the Town of Redwood Cidty did, on the 20th day of May, 1929, pass <br />and adopt Resolution of Intention No. L-5 to order the following work to be done and improve- <br />ments to be made in said Tom of Redwood City, to -wit: <br />f, <br />That the following described portion of Laurel Street in said Town of Redwood City be clos- <br />ed and vacated as a public street and highway, to -wit: <br />Laurel Street from t$e southwesterly line of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company's <br />main line right of way to the sourthwesterly line of Chew Street. <br />And also that the following described portion of Willow Street in said Town of Redwood <br />City be closed and vacated as a public street and highway, to -wit: <br />Willow Street from the southwesterly line of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company's main <br />line right of way to the southwesterly line of Chew Street. <br />And said Council of the Town of Redwood City does hereby determine and declare that it is <br />unnecessary to take any lands for the work of closing said hereinbefore mentioned streets or <br />portions thereof and that it is unnecessary to levy any assessment to provide for the closing <br />of said hereinbefore mentioned streets or portions thereof. <br />All the herein proposed work shall be done in pursuance of and in conformity with an act <br />of the Legislature of the State of California entitled "An Act to "2rovide for the Laying out, <br />Opening, Extending, ';fidening, Lengthening, or Closing up, in Whole or in Part, any Street, <br />Square, Lane, Alley, Court or Place Within Municipalities, and to Condemn and Acquire any and <br />all Lands and Property Necessary and Convenient for that Purpose," approved 1arch o, 18899 <br />and, the several acts amendatory thereof or supplemental thereto. <br />AND WHEREAS, said Council, in and by said Resolution of Intention, did declare that no <br />land was necessary to be taken for said work and improvements and that no assessment was ne- <br />cessary for said work and improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, the -Street Superintendent of the Town of Redwood City did thereupon cause notices <br />of the passage of said Resolution of Intention No. L-5 to be duly published and posted as re- <br />quired by law, as appears from the affidavits of C. L. Dimmitt and Sam H. Windlebleck, now on <br />file in the office of the Clerk of the Town of Redwood City, to which reference is hereby made <br />and the same are made a part hereof; and <br />WHEREAS, within the time fixed by law wherein objections could be made to the work <br />
