1 <br />and improvements described in said Resolution of intention No, 1-5, no objections of any137 <br />" <br />i <br />kind were made and delivered to the Clerk of said 'own of Redwood City, as required by law; <br />"f <br />and j <br />j WHEREnS, the Council of the Town of Redwood City has determined and does hereby determine j <br />that no further proceedings are necessary or proper in the premises and that no damage will re- <br />sult to anyone <br />�j an one by the closing of said streets and <br />portions thereof hereinbefore mentioned, but <br />t�q i+ that the closing thereof is, and will be, for the public interest 4nd benefit and that said <br />t�El i! <br />streets and portions thereof hereinbefore and hereinafter mentioned should be abandoned and va- <br />!, Gated as public streets _.nd highways or portions thereof, and permanently closed. <br />'1 NOW THEREFORE, it is by the Council of the Town of Redwood City resolved and determined <br />That the following described portion of Laurel Street in said Tom of Redwood City be clos - <br />ed and vacated as a public street and highway, to -wit: <br />Laurel Street from the southwesterly line of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company's main <br />i <br />Lina+right of way to the southwesterly line of Chew Street. <br />And also that the following described portion of Willow Street in said To= of Redwood City <br />be closed and vacated as a public street and highway, to -wit: <br />+ Willow Street from the southwesterly line of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company's main <br />line right of way to the southwesterly line of Chew Street. <br />And said Council of the Town of Redwood City does hereby determine and declare that it is <br />unnecessary to take any lands for the work of closin said hereinbefore mentioned streets or <br />os- i <br />portions thereof and that it is unnecessary to levy any assessment to provide for the closing <br />of said hereinbefore mentioned streets or portions thereof. <br />All the herein proposed work shall be done in pursuance of and in conformity with an Act <br />of the Legislature of the State of California entitled "An Act to Provide for the laying out, <br />r Opening, Extending, Widening, Lengthening or Closing up, in Whole or in Part, any Street, Square, <br />Lane, Alley, Court or Place Within Municipalities, and to Condemn and Acquire any and all Lands <br />n <br />and Property Necessary and Convenient for that Purpose", approved March 6, 1889, and that sever- <br />al acts amendatory thereof or supplemental thereto. <br />s <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the Town of Redwood City at a regular meeting thereof <br />held on the 3rd day of September , 1929, by the following vote: <br />Ayes and in favor of the passage of the foregoing resolution, Councilmen Z. T. Thorninp, <br />G. W. McNulty, W. J. Dusel, 0. J. Hildebrand, H. A. Beeper. <br />Noes and against the passage of the foregoing resolution, Councilman: None . <br />Absent, Councilmen: D. R.
