MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE <br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL HELD <br />FEBRUARY 3, 1930. <br />7:30 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />Regular meeting of the City Council held. <br />Upon roll call there were present: Councilmen -Mayor H. A. Beeger, Z. T. Thorning, <br />D. R. Stafford, W. J. Dusel, 'G. W. McNulty, C. J. Hildebrant, P. A. McCarthy. <br />City Clerk W. A. Price. <br />Minutes of the meeting held January 20, 1930 were approved as read, on motion of <br />Councilman Thorning, seconded by Councilman McNulty. Motion carried. <br />Moved by Councilman Stafford, seconded by Councilman McCarthy that the permits <br />and insurance policies of the taxi companies doing business in this City be <br />referred to the City Manager and City Attorney. Motion carried. <br />Moved by Councilman Stafford, seconded by Councilman Dusel, the street extending <br />from Webster Street to Hamilton Street, between Broadway and Jefferson Avenue, <br />be named Theatre Street. Motion carried. <br />Moved by Councilman Stafford, seconded by Councilman Dusel, the application of <br />Seth Cohen of San Mateo to do electrical work in this City be granted. Motion <br />carried. <br />Moved by Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Hildebrant, that the proposed <br />tree planting plan submitted by the Planning Commission be included in the <br />former tree planting plan of the City Council. Motion carried. <br />Moved by Councilman McNulty, seconded tby Councilman Stafford, the City Attorney <br />and City Engineer be instructed to prepare plans and specifications for the <br />improving, widening, and extending of Hudson Street, on lines as outlined by <br />the City Engineer. Motion carried. <br />Moved by Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Dusel, the City Engineer be <br />instructed to prepare plans and specifications for the improvement of Maple <br />Street from Main Street to Lathrop Street, and Lathrop Street from Maple Street <br />to Elm Street. Motion carried. ock <br />Councilman McCarthy offers Ordinance No.___.Vlectrc Sign Ordinance) and moves its <br />introduction. Councilman Hildebrant seconds the motion. Motion carried. <br />Application from Al Marjcgraf for permit to hold dances on the Saturday Evenings of <br />February 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd, 1930, in Foresters' Hall, until one o'clock, <br />was on motion of Councilman Thorning, seconded by Councilman Stafford that same <br />be granted. Motion carried. <br />Moved by Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Thorning, the Council instruct <br />the City Attorney to draw up a quitclaim deed in favor of the General Properties <br />Corporation, for that certain parcel of land owned by the City, situated on <br />Redwood Creek between the end of Hamilton Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. <br />Motion carried. <br />The contract for the Redwood City Animal Shelter was awarded to Gus Waller, this <br />City, by the City Manager for the sum of $41,952.67. <br />Councilman McCarthy offers the Wild Life Game Ordinance forwarded by the San Mateo <br />e <br />
