<br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION
<br />NO. 114.
<br />RESOLVED, That It is the in-
<br />tention of the Council of the City
<br />of Redwood City, County of San
<br />Mateo, State of California, to or-
<br />der the following work to be done
<br />and Improvements to be made in
<br />said City of Redwood City, to -wit:
<br />That Lexington Avenue from
<br />the northeasterly line of Grand
<br />Street northeasterly to the north-
<br />easterly line of Central Park Sub-
<br />division, as shown on that certain
<br />map entitled "Map No. 1, Cental
<br />Park," filed August 3, 1911, in
<br />Baok 7 of Maps at page 45, Rec-
<br />ords of San Mateo County, Slate
<br />of California; Grand Street from
<br />the edge of the existing pave-
<br />ment which is on a line parallel
<br />to and five feet southeasterly from
<br />the southeasterly line og Lexing-
<br />ton Avenue southeasterly to a
<br />line parallel to and 420 feet south-
<br />easterly from said southeasterly
<br />line of Lexington Avenue; Iris
<br />Street from the southeasterly line
<br />of Vera Avenue southeasterly to
<br />a line parallel to and distant 1.5
<br />feet southeasterly from the north-
<br />westerly line of the roadway of
<br />Roosevelt Avenue, Including all
<br />Intersections, tcfminations and op-
<br />posite terminations or portions
<br />thereof within the lines and lim-
<br />its of the streets and avenues
<br />bereinbefore described, be im-
<br />proved as follows, to -wit;
<br />(a) That the hereinbefore de-
<br />scribed streets and avenues be
<br />graded for the full width thereof
<br />and for the lengths hereinbefore
<br />mentioned.
<br />(b) That cement concrete com-
<br />bined curbs and gutters be con-
<br />structed on both sides of the here-
<br />Inbefore mentioned streets and
<br />avenues that are to be graded,
<br />the curb portion of said cement
<br />concrete combined curb and gut-
<br />ter to be six inches across the
<br />top and eleven inches deep, and
<br />the gutter Portion of said cement
<br />concrete combined curb and gut-
<br />ter to be eighteen inches wide and
<br />to be six inches thick next to the
<br />pavement and five inches thick
<br />next to the curb, and said cement
<br />concrete combined curb and gut-
<br />ter to be built and constructed at
<br />one time so that there shall be no
<br />joint between the curb and gut-
<br />ter, provided, however, that a
<br />three inch base or cushion of
<br />broken stone shall be placed un-
<br />der all cement concrete combined
<br />curb and gutter to be constructed
<br />as- herein provided.
<br />That at the corners of Iris
<br />Street at Roosevelt Avenue, ce-
<br />ment concrete gutters eighteen
<br />inches wide and six Inches In
<br />thickness shall be constructed ad-
<br />jacent to the."concrete curbs now
<br />In place at said corners.
<br />(c) That the roadways of the
<br />hereinbefore mentioned and de-
<br />scribed streets and avenues for
<br />the lengths hereinbefore set forth
<br />between the gutters to be con-
<br />structed thereon as herein pro-
<br />vided, be Paved with an asphal-
<br />tic concrete base course two and
<br />one-half inches In thickness with
<br />an asphaltic concrete wearing sur-
<br />face one and one-half inches thick
<br />laid thereon; said pavement to
<br />be laid and constructed on a
<br />base or cushion of broken stone
<br />three Inches thick.
<br />Also that Oak Avenue from the
<br />northeasterly line of Sequoia Ave-
<br />nue northeasterly to the north-
<br />easterly line of Sierra Street pro-
<br />duced northwesterly in a straight
<br />line across said Oak Avenue and
<br />Sierra Street from the southeast-
<br />erly line of Oak Avenue south-
<br />easterly to the northwesterly line
<br />of Redwood Avenue, including all
<br />intersections, terminations and op-
<br />posite terminations or portions

<br />(a) That said street and avenue
<br />and portions thereof above de-
<br />scribed be graded for the full
<br />width of the roadway thereof and
<br />for the lengths hereinbefore men-
<br />tloned.
<br />(b) That cement concrete gut-
<br />ters eighteen inches in width and
<br />six e inches' thick b constructed
<br />and location of said assessment
<br />district and the same is made a
<br />part hereof; provided, however,
<br />that all streets and avenues or
<br />portions thereof included within
<br />said assessment district and shown
<br />on the map thereof shall be omit-
<br />ted from any assessment levied
<br />for the costs and expenses of the
<br />work aforesaid, said streets and
<br />avenues and portions thereof now
<br />being in public use as public
<br />streets and avenues.
