192. <br />-----M-7----- <br />Councilman Hildebrant, seconded by Councilman McCarthy offered the following <br />resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING PLANS, PROFILES AND SPECIFICATIONS NO. M-7 <br />RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City, <br />County of San Mateo, State of California, that C.L.Dimmitt, <br />City Engineer of said City, be and he is hereby ordered to <br />prepare plans, profiles, detailed drawings specifications <br />and estimates for doing the following work and making the <br />following improvements in said City, to -wit: <br />That Minnie Street from the southerly line of the <br />roadway of Broadway southerly to the northwesterly line <br />of the roadway of James Street; and George Street from the <br />westerly line of Minnie Street westerly to the northeasterly <br />line of tre roadway of E1 Camino Real, including all inter- <br />sections, terminations or opposite terminations or portions <br />thereof included within the limits above described, be <br />improved as'follows, to -wit: <br />(1) That the hereinbefore described portions of Minnie <br />and George Streets be graded for their full widths and for <br />the lengths hereir_before described. <br />(2) That cement concrete curbs integral with the <br />pavement six ('6) -inches across the top and twelve (12) <br />inches deep be constructed on both sides of said Minnie and <br />George Street's within the limits above described and upon <br />all corners of intersecting'and terminating streets within <br />said'limits; provided, however, that said integral-cir b shall <br />be laid upon a broken store base three (3) inches thick <br />after rolling with a one (1) inch sand cushion laid between <br />said broken stone base and said integral curb to be built <br />as herein provided. <br />(3) That the roadways and portions of roadways of said <br />Minnie and George Streets above described, including inter- <br />sections, terminations or opposite terminations, within the <br />lines and limits of said Minnie and George Streets hereinbefore <br />described be paved with a cement concrete pavement six (6) <br />inches in thickness laid upon a base of broken stone three <br />(3) inches in thickness after rolling with a sand cushion <br />one (1) inch in thickness to be laid between said broken <br />stone base and said concrete pavement; provided, however, <br />that said cement concrete pavement shall have a thickness <br />of eight (8) inches along the centerlines of said Minnie and <br />George Streets and taper to a thickness of six (6) inches <br />three (3) feet on each side of the centerlines of said <br />streets. <br />(4) That eight (8), four (4) inch vitrified salt glazed <br />tile pipe sewer laterals be constructed from the main sewer <br />now in place along the centerline of Minnie Street from <br />Broadway to James Street, five (5) of such laterals extending <br />from said main sewer to the easterly property line of said <br />Minnie Street and three (3) of such laterals extending from <br />the main sewer to the westerly property line of said Minnie <br />Street, and said laterals to be connected with the main sewer <br />now in place in said Minnie Street by tapping said sewer and <br />connecting by cement joint. <br />Also that six (6), four (4) inch vitrified salt glazed <br />tile pipe sewer laterals be constructed from the main sewer <br />now in place along the centerline of George Street from Minnie <br />Street to El Camino Real, three (3) of such laterals extending <br />from the main sewer to the southea§terly property line of <br />George Street and three (3) of such laterals extending from <br />said main sewer to the northwesterly property line of George <br />Street, and said laterals to be connected with the wyes now <br />in place in said main sewer. <br />(5) That cement concrete sidewalks four (4) inches <br />thick and six (6) feet in width be constructed on both sides <br />of Minnie Street and on both sides of George Street within <br />the lines and limits of said Minnie and George Streets here- <br />inbefore described, also. on the northwesterly side of James <br />Street, between Minnie Street and E1 Camino Real, including <br />all corners of intersecting or terminating streets within <br />the lines and limits of said Minnie and George Streets <br />above described; provided, however, that all cement concrete <br />sidewalk shall be laid upon a base or cushion of broken <br />stone three (3) inches thick after rolling with a sand <br />
