212 <br />AND 'WHEREAS, within the time allowed by law when and where any and <br />all persons having any objections to the proposed work and improvements <br />described in said Resolution of Intention No. M-7, or to the district <br />to be assessed for said work and improvements, or to the proposed grades <br />at which said work and improvements are to be done and made, could appear <br />before said Council of the City of Redwood City and show cause why said <br />work and improvements should not be carried out in accordance withsaid <br />Resolution of Intention No. M-7, or why said work and improvements should <br />not be carried out and done at the proposed grades as shown on the plans, <br />profiles, detailed drawings and specifications referred to in said <br />Resolution of Intention No. M-7, certain owners of property in the <br />district to be assessed for said work and improvements made written <br />protest and opjections against said work and improvements and against <br />the extent of the district to be assessed for said work and improvements; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, said Council of the City of Redwood City did proceed to <br />hear and consider said protests and objections and each and all thereof, <br />and said Council having fully considered the same; <br />THEREFORE be it resolved by the Council of the City of Redwood <br />City and said Council does hereby determine and dedlare that said <br />protests and objections were not and are not made by the owners of <br />one-half of the area of the property in the district to be assessed for <br />said work and improvements. <br />AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood <br />City that said written protests and objections to the work and improve- <br />ments described in Resolution of Intention No. M-7, be and each and all <br />of said protests and objections are overruled. <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at <br />the hour of 10:10 o'clock P.M. at a regular meeting of ""said Council <br />held on theMth—aay of Map, 1930, by the following vote: <br />Ayes and in favor of the passage of the foregoing Resolution, Councilmen, <br />H.A.Beeger, W.J.Dusel, C.J.F.ildebrant, P.A.McCarthy, G.W.Mckalty, D.R.Stafford. <br />Noes and against the passage of the foregoing Resolution, Councilmen, NONE. <br />Absent, Councilmen, Z.T.Thorning. <br />Attest: <br />B. STAFFORD <br />Mayor of the City of Redia od City <br />Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman McCarthy offered the following <br />resolution ordering the work under Resolution of Intention M-7 and moved <br />its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING THE WORK NO. M-7. <br />RESOLVED, that whereas, the Council of the City of Redwood City <br />did, on the 7th day of April; 1930, pass and adopt Resolution of Intention <br />No. M-7 to order the hereinafter described vyork to be done and improve- <br />ments to be made in said City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, said Resolution of Intention No. M-7 was duly published as <br />required by law as appears from the affidavit of Lora C. Benning.now on <br />file in the office of the Clerk of said City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, notices of the passage of said Resolution of Intention No. <br />M-7, headed °NOTICE OF IMPROVEMENT", were duly and legally posted along <br />the line of said contemplated work and improvements and in front of all <br />property liable to be assessed therefor, and on all the streets in the <br />district to be assessed in time, form, manner and number as required by law, <br />as appears from the affidavits of C.L.Dimnitt, Street Superintendent and <br />Lyle Winter and Fred Stickle, and now on file in the office of the Clerk <br />of said City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, it appears from the said affidavits of C.L.Dimmitt, Street <br />Superintendent and Lyle Winter and Fred Stickle hereinbefore referred to <br />herein, that the posting of said notices of improvement as aforesaid was <br />completed on the 19th day of April, 1930; and <br />1 <br />u <br />
