227 <br />and the reasonableness of cost to this city is to be hereafter determined by <br />this Council; that the Mayor be'authorl-zed to represent the city in any <br />organization that may be formed. <br />-_-_�M-S---__ <br />Upon motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman McNulty, affidavits for posting of <br />publication for public works were ordered filed. <br />Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Hildebrant, offered the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption:, <br />RESOLUTION FIXING TIME OF HEARING OF OBJECTIONS UNDER <br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO, M-5, <br />RESOLVED, THAT WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood <br />City did on the 7th day of April, 1939, pass and adopt Resolution Of" <br />Intention No, I1-5 to order certain work to be done and improvements" -to <br />be made in said Cnty of Redwood City described in said Resolution'of <br />Intention No. M-5 to which reference is hereby made'for a description <br />of said work and improvements, together with the assessment district <br />benefited and to pay the damages, costs find expenses thereof, which <br />Resolution of Intention'is now on file in the office of the Clerk of <br />the City of Redwood City and to which reference is hereby made .and the <br />same is made a part hereof, and <br />WHEREAS, notices of the passage of said Resolution of <br />Intention were duly and legally posted and published as required by <br />lain as appears from the affidavit of Lora C. Benning and C. L. Dimmit, <br />now on file in the office of the Clerk of the City of Redwood City, and <br />WHEREAS, within the time allowed by law certain owners of <br />property in the district to be assessed for the damages, costs and <br />expenses of said work and improvements described in said Resolution <br />of Intention No. 11-5, made written protests and objections against <br />the said work and improvement's acid against the extent of the district <br />to be assessed for the damages, costs and expenses thereof, and <br />WHEREAS, the'law requires the Council to set all said protests <br />and objects for hearing. <br />NO4P THEREFORE BE -IT RESOLVED -by the Council of the City -of <br />Redwood City that'all protesta•and objectons•to'the work and improve- <br />ments described in Resolution of -Intention No, M-5 be and they are <br />f� hereby set for hearing*at'the hour oi'8 o'clock P.M. of Monday, the <br />16th day of June, 1930, at the Council room of the'Council of the <br />City of Redwood City in the City Hall of said City,'and that the <br />Clerk of this Council be and he is hereby ordered to notify said <br />protestants of the time and place of hearing said objections as re- <br />quired by law. <br />Passed and adopted this 2nd day of June, 1930, by the <br />following vote: <br />Ayes and in favor of the'passage of the foregoing Resolution, <br />Councilmen: H.
