Upon motion of Councilman McNulty; seconded by Councilman Beeger, the communication <br />was ordered received and filed. In the same connection there was some discussion about <br />changing the name of Webster Street to Middlefield Road. <br />Al Markgraf was granted permission to hold dances at the Forester's Hall on June 7, 14, 21, <br />28, 1930, upon motion of Councilman Beeger, seconded by Councilman Dusel. <br />Councilman Hildebrant, seconded by Councilman Hinman introduced an ordinance regulating <br />traffic at automatic stop signals. <br />A letter was received from Mrs. M. 0. Burns, Secretary of the Library Trustees, stating that <br />the appointments of Dr. Cummings and Mr. Dole would expire at the end of this month and <br />requesting, according to the views of the other Trustees, that they be reappointed. <br />Mayor Stafford conformed with their request and appointed Dr. Cummings and Mr. Dole to <br />succeed themselves as Library Trustees, and upon motion of Councilman Hinman, seconded <br />by Councilman Dusel, the appointments were confirmed by the Council; <br />Plans were presented to the Council for the service station at the corner of Hopkins Avenue <br />and E1 Camino Real and inasmuch as the City Planning Commission had recommended it, <br />upon motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Dusel, permit was granted, <br />the work alloyed to be done in accordance with the plans submitted. <br />The City Manager presented two bids for the construction of a deep well and upon his <br />recommendation, the contract was given to Duer Brothers of San Jose for $900.00, upon <br />motion of Councilr.'ian Hildebrant, seconded by Councilman McCarthy. R. Garcia of Palo <br />Alto bid $10132.50. <br />Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman McNulty offered the following Resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION RESCINDING RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. M-6 <br />RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Redwood City that Resolution <br />of Intention No. M-6, passed and adopted by said Council on the 7th day of April, <br />1930, together with proceedings thereunder be rescinded and set aside and made <br />of no force and effect. <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a <br />regular meeting thereof held on the 16th day of June, 1930, by the following <br />vote: ' <br />Ayes, Councilmen, H.
