<br />RESOLUTION ORDERING THE WORK 110. 14-8.
<br />RESOLVED, THAT WHE-REAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City
<br />did, on the 16th day of June, 1930, pass and adopt Resolution of Inten-
<br />tion No. Irl -8 to order the hereinafter described work to be done and
<br />improvements to be made in said City of Redwood City; and
<br />WHEREAS, notices of the passage of said Resolution of Intention
<br />No. M-8, headed "NOTICE OF IMPRO T", vrere duly and regularly posted
<br />along the line of said contemplated work and improvements -and in front
<br />of all the property liable to be assessed therefor, and on all of the
<br />streets in the district to be assessed therefor, in time, form, manner
<br />and number as required by law, as appears from the affidavits of C.L.
<br />Dimmitt, Superintendent of Streets of the City of Redwood City, and
<br />Lyle Winter, and now on file in the office of the Clerk of said City; and
<br />111HEREAS, it appears from the affidavits of said C.L. Dimmitt and
<br />Lyle Winter, hereinbefore referred to herein, that the posting of said
<br />notices of improvement as aforesaid was completed on the 23rd day of
<br />June, 1930, and
<br />WHEREAS, in and by said Resolution of Intention No. 14-8 and the
<br />notices of the passage thereof posted as aforesaid, said Council of the
<br />City of Redwood City fixed Monday, the 7th day of July, 1930, at the
<br />hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M. of said day, at the meeting place of said
<br />Council, in the Council Chamber in the City Hall on Webster Street in
<br />said City of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of California,
<br />as the day hour and place when and where any and all persons having
<br />any objections to the proposed work and improvements described in said
<br />Resolution of Intention No. M-8, or to the district to be assessed for
<br />said work and improvements, or to the proposed grades at which said
<br />work and improvements are to be done and made, could appear before said
<br />Council and show cause why said proposed work and improvements should
<br />not be carried out in accordance with said Resolution of Intention No.
<br />I.1-8, or why said proposed work and improvements should not be carried
<br />out and done at the proposed grades as shown on the plans, profiles,
<br />detailed drawings and specifications referred to in said Resolution of
<br />Intention No. M-8 and now on file in the office of the Clerk of the
<br />City of Redwood City; and
<br />WHEREAS, at the day, hour and place aforesaid, when and where
<br />any and all persons having any objections to the proposed work and im-
<br />provements described in said Resolution of Intention No. 11-8, or having
<br />any objections to the district to be assessed therefor, or having any
<br />objections to the proposed grades at which said work and improvements
<br />are to be done and made, could appear before the Council of said City of
<br />Redwood City and shout cause why said proposed work and improvements
<br />should not be carried out in accordance with Resolution of Intention
<br />No. Iii -8, or why said proposed work and improvements should not be car-
<br />ried out and done at the proposed grades as shown on the plans, profiles,
<br />detailed drawings and specifications referred to in said Resolution of
<br />Intention No. 11-8 and now on file in the office of the Clerk of said
<br />City of Redwood City, no person or persons appeared and no objections
<br />of any kind were made against said work and improvements described in
<br />said Resolution of Intentiouivo. I9--8 or to the extent of the district to
<br />be assessed therefor or against the grades at which.said work and
<br />improvements are to be done and made, and said Council now having
<br />acquired jurisdiction to order said work and improvements;
<br />THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the public interest and convenience
<br />require the work and improvements herein described, and the Council of
<br />the City of Redwood City hereby orders the following work to be done
<br />and improvements to be made in said City of Redwood City, to writ:

<br />northeasterly to the southwesterly
<br />line of the 'Middlefield Road .and
<br />from..the ,northeasterly', line of the
<br />Middlefield Road northeasterly to.

<br />baugh Street ,and, also that 'porn
<br />tion of the intersection of Chest:
<br />nut Street With Stambaugh Street
<br />lying between .the southeasterly'
<br />line of Chestnut Street extended
<br />northeasterly across Stambaugh
<br />Street and a line parallel to and
<br />distant two (2) feet southeasterly
<br />from the southeasterly rail of the
<br />Southern Pacific Railroad -Com-
<br />pany's spur track; excepting how-
<br />ever from the above described
<br />worklon Chestnut Street the arse
<br />embraced between 'the rails and a
<br />-
<br />line'parallel. to and two (2) feet
<br />distant from each rail of the
<br />'Southern Pacific Railroad' Com-
<br />pany's spurtrack on .Chestnut
