0 <br />was renewed for a probationary period of three .(3) months with the understanding <br />that Mr. Gold was to look for another place and that if the Health Officer found <br />any objections to the way he carried on the business that he be empowered to <br />revoke the license. <br />Upon motion of Councilman Hildebrant, seconded by Councilman McNulty, Councilman Dusel <br />was appointed to succeed himself as a member of the Planning Commission. <br />Councilman Beeger, seconded by Councilman McNulty, introduced an ordinance creating <br />certain offices and fixing the corresponding salaries. <br />The City Manager made a report on the bids submitted for the automobile public <br />liability insurance and recommended that the bid submitted by C. D. Swett <br />representing the western Automobile Casualty Company be accepted and upon <br />motion of Councilman Hinman, seconded by Councilman Dusel,-the insurancb <br />was granted to Mr. Swett with the understanding that the policy meet with <br />the approval of the City Attorney. <br />A letter of appreciation from the Chamber of Commerce in regard to the using of <br />locally manufadtured materials on municipal jobs was ordered filed. <br />Another letter from the Chamber of Commerce presented statistics concerning the <br />installation of United States weather bureau -station at Redwood City and <br />after discussion, upon motion of Councilmen Hinman, seconded by Councilman <br />Dusel, the City Manager was instructed to have the service installed with <br />the understanding that it was not to cost more than $100.00. <br />A communication from the South Reddwood Improvement Club concerning the fox farm <br />was ordered filed. <br />Application of Al J. Markgraf for dance permit for July 5-12-19 was granted upon <br />motion of Councilman Hildebrant, seconded by Councilman Beeger. <br />A communication from R. E. Savage making application to be appointed as a member <br />of the City's Planning Commission was ordered filed. <br />In response to a request from the License Department it was decided to renew the <br />taxi license permits of any applicants provided the application met with the <br />approval of the Chief of Police. <br />Councilman Beeger, seconded by Councilman Dusel, moved the adoption of ordinance <br />regulating stops at automatic signals, and the ordinance was adopted by <br />unanimous vote, with full copy of text in Ordinance Book No.3 at page <br />A petition signed by property owners along Valota Road was, upon motion of Councilman <br />McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Beeger, referred to the City Engineer for his <br />report concerning the conditions. <br />-----11-8----- <br />Affidavits of posting and publication for Resolution of Intention I4-8 were, upon <br />motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Dusel, ordered filed. <br />Councilman Hinman, seconded by Councilman McCarthy, offered the following resolution <br />and moved its adoption. <br />11) <br />i,I <br />I <br />I <br />
