<br />Upon motion of Councilman YoNulty, seconded by Councilman Beeger, affidavits of posting
<br />and publishing Notice Inviting Sealed Proposals were ordered filed,
<br />Upon opening bids, W 0 Tysonts bid was $5,288.33 and V1 A Dontanvillets $4882.01,
<br />whereupon Councilman Dusel, seconded by Councilmen Hinman, offered the following
<br />Resolution awarding the contract to W A Dontanville and moved its adoption;
<br />RESOLUTION OF AIWARD NO. M-9.
<br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City did, in open
<br />session on the 11th day of August, 1930, publicly open, examine and
<br />declare all sealed proposals or bids for doing the following work and
<br />making the following improvements in said City of Redvlood City, to -wit:
<br />That Maple Street from the edge
<br />Of the existing pavement and gut-
<br />ter on the production in astralght
<br />line of the westerly line of Main
<br />Street northerly across said Maple
<br />Street southwesterly to the pro-
<br />duction of the division line be-
<br />tween lots one (1) and two (2),
<br />'block six (6) Diller's Addition, as
<br />•shown on the map thereof record -
<br />.ad in Book E of Maps at page
<br />77, records of San Mateo County,
<br />extended southeasterly across said
<br />Maple Street, be improved as fol-
<br />lows, to -wit:
<br />1. That the existing concrete
<br />curb on the northwesterly side of
<br />Maple Street between the pro-
<br />duction northerly of the westerly
<br />fine of blain Street across Maple
<br />Street southwesterly to the north-
<br />erly line of the right of. way of
<br />the Southern Pacific Railroad
<br />Company and thirty-seven (37)
<br />linear feet of the existing concrete
<br />curb at the southerly corner of
<br />the intersection of Maln Straat
<br />with Maple Street and also that
<br />eighteen (18) linear feet of the
<br />existing concrete curb on Maple
<br />Street at the southerly corner of
<br />the termination of Lathrop Street
<br />at Maple Street be removed.
<br />2, That Maple Street for the full
<br />width of the roadway and for they
<br />length hereinbefore deacribed in.
<br />eluding all intersections, termina•
<br />tions, oppo.,ite terminations or por-
<br />tions thereof within the tines and
<br />limits of Maple Street above de-
<br />scribed be graded and paved with
<br />hydraulic cement concrete pave-
<br />ment six (6) inches thick Said
<br />upon a base of broken stone three
<br />(3) inches thick after rolling, with,
<br />a cushion of sand one (1) inch
<br />thick laid between said broken,
<br />stone base and said concrete pave-
<br />ment; provided, however, that said
<br />concrete pavement shall have a
<br />thickness of eight (8) inches along
<br />the centerJlne of said Maple Street
<br />and taper to a thickness of six (6)
