MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ADJOURNED MISTING RELWOOD CITY COUNCIL AUGUST 25, 1930 8 P.M. Upon 4611 Call, the following were present: Councilmen Mayor D.R.Stafford, H.A.Beeger, W.J.Dusel, C.J.Fiildebrant, G.W.McNulty, and City Clerk B.E.Myers. Absent: Council- men P.A.McCarthy, E.B.Hinman. Upon motion of Councilman Dusel, seconded by Councilman Hildebrant, the minutes of the meeting held August 18th were approved. D. L. Walter again appeared concerning the lots at the corner of Edgewood Road and Oakdale Street and asked permission to build according to the description which had been approved by the Planning Commission. On motion of Councilman Dusel, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the permit was granted. Affidavits of publication for Ordinances #315 and #316 were ordered filed upon motion of Councilman Hildebrant, seconded by Councilman McNulty. Upon motion of Councilman Hildebrant, seconded by Councilman Dusel, Ordinance No. 315, - "An ordinance amending an ordinance entitled "Ordinance No. 246, An ordinance fixing and establishing fire limits in the Town of Redwood City and regulating the building, constructing and removing of buildings therein" was passed and adopted by unanimous vote. (For complete text see Ordinance nook No. 3, Page Upon motion of Councilman-Beeger, seconded by Councilman McNulty, Ordinance #3169, "An ordinance fixing the amount of money to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property within the City of Redwood City as a revenue to carry on the various departments of said City for the fiscal year 1930-1931 and to pay the banded indebtedness of said City falling due and becoming payable during said year, together with the interest thereon, and to maintain the public library of said City during said year," was passed and adopted by unanimous vote. A letter was read from the Sudden Lumber Company in which they indicated their desire to withdraw application for construction of buildings between Hopkins and Whipple on E1 Camino Real and upon motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Dusel, the letter was ordered filed and the Company given permission to withdraw its application. The City Manager reported on the traffic situation at the corner of Arguello and Brewster and upon motion of Councilman Beeger, seconded by Councilman Hildebrant, the report was ordered received and filed and the City Attorney was instructed ' to draw up an appropriate ordinance. The City Manager also reported concerning real estate signs and recommended that the suggestion of the Real Estate Board be carried out. Councilman Beeger, seconded by Councilman Dusel moved that the Council approve the recommendation and that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare an appropriate ordinance. Carried. The City Manager also took up the question of miniature golf courses and asked what action the Council would like to have taken. Upon motion of Councilman Dusel, segonded by Councilman McNulty, the City Attorney was instructed to draw up an ordinance regulating these golf course, fixing license fees, etc. 209
