298 <br />"On motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman <br />Mol4ulty, R. E. Wilson was granted a permit to raise silver foxes on <br />Oxford Street within the City limits for commercial purposes subject to <br />the revocation of said permit for the raising of said foxes if it becomes <br />a nuisance or an annoyance to neighbors -by reason of odor, noise, or <br />otherwise"-; <br />SOffs-THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said item of said minutes <br />be and the same is hereby corrected to read as'last above stated. <br />(Reference: Redwood City Standard of January ?, Page 1, column 3, showing <br />that permit was made revocable). <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City <br />at a regular adjourned meeting thereof held on the 25th day of August, <br />19300 by the following vote: <br />Ayes and in favor of the passage of the foregoing Resolution, <br />Councilmen: H A Beeger, W J Dusel, C J Hildebrant, G W McNulty, D R Stafford. <br />Noes and against the passage of the foregoing Resolution <br />Councilmen: NONE. <br />Absent: Councilmen E B Hinman, P A MC Carthy <br />DANIEL R. Burns and suggested that Mrs. Z.T. Thorning be appointed <br />to take the place of Mrs. Burns, Mayor Stafford made the appointment of Mrs. <br />Thorning and upon motion of Councilman Beeger, seconded by Councilman Dusel, the <br />selection was confirmed by the Council. Upon motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded <br />by Councilman Hildebrant, the Clerk was instructed to draw.up.appropriate resolution <br />of condolence in the death of Mrs. Burns and to send a copy of it to the family. <br />RESOLUTICN OF CONDOLENCE. <br />WHEREAS, Mary 0. Burns for several.years has served as a <br />trustee of the'Carnegie Public Library end.hss acted during that <br />time as Secretary of the Library Board of Trustees, and <br />WHEREAS; in the wisdom of an all -wise providence, Mary <br />0. Burns met her death while sojourning in Europe, and <br />WHEREAS, the loss of such a worker is not•only felt by <br />the other members of the Library Board of Trustees but grief and <br />sadness has been brought into her home; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the A` <br />City of Redwood City that it greatly deplores the passing of y <br />Mary 0.
