308, I MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING RE13NOOD CITY COUNCIL v OCT. 6, 1930. 7:30 PM Upon roll call there were present, Councilmen Beeger, Dusel, Hildebrant, Hinman, McNulty, McCarthy and Mayor Stafford. Absent: City Clerk, B E Myers. Upon motion of Councilman Beeger, seconded by Councilman Hinman, Councilman Dusel was appointed Clerk pro -tem. Minutes of the meeting held September 15th were approved on motion of Councilman Beeger, seconded by Councilman McNulty. Communication received from the Planning Commission approving the application of May Walter for a gasoline service station at the northwest corner of State Highway and Wellesley Avenue, was received and filed. Upon motion of Councilman Hinman, seconded by Councilman Dusel, said application was granted. Application of Associated Oil Company for a permit for a gasoline service station on the Bayshore Highway at the corner of Middlefield Road, was on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Hinman, received and filed and laid over until the next regular meeting for a report from the Planning Commission. Moved by Councilman Beeger, seconded by Councilman McCarthy, and carried, that a temporary permit be issued to B. Arata for the occupancy of the old Ford garage, as a coal and fuel yard. In the matter of Resolution of Intention No. M-14, affidavit of posting notice inviting sealed proposals and affidavit of publication of the same were received and filed. On motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Beeger, the following bids were then publicly opened, examined and declared by said Council, to -wit: City Improvement Company $70090.00 Butte Electric & Mfg: Cc 7,341.00 Hugo Frank 72299.00 The said City Improvement Company being the lowest, regular, responsible bidder, Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Beeger, offered Resolution of Award No. M-14 for the construction of electroliers on a portion of Broadway, Brewster Avenue and Arch Street, and moved its adoption; as follows: RESOLUTION OF AWARD NO. M-14. WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City did, in open session on the 6th day of October, 1930, publicly open, examine and declare all sealed proposals or bids for doing the following work and making the following im- provements in said City of Redwood City, to -wit:
