<br />This being the time for hearing for the abatement of nuirance consisting of
<br />old buildings upon portion of Lot 9, in the Wooster, Whitton and Montgomery
<br />Subdivision, and no one appearing in said matter, Councilman McCarthy,
<br />seconded by Councilman Hildebrant, offered the following Resolution Abating
<br />Nuisance and moved its adoption:
<br />RESOLVED by the 06Uncil of the City of Redwood City, that whereas.,
<br />C. DRATHMAN, the Building Inspector of the said City of Redwood City,
<br />did as required by Ordinance No. 303, post a notice to abate nuisance
<br />upon the hereinafter described real property and did send a copy of
<br />said notice so posted by registered mail, postage prepaid, to the
<br />owners of said hereinafter described real property, as said owner is
<br />listed upon the books of the City Assessor of said City of Redwood f
<br />City, and
<br />AREAS in and by said notice to abate nuisance said Building
<br />Inspector of the City of Redwood City did fix Monday the 119bh day of j
<br />Septembw, 1930, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M. of said day at the Council
<br />Chamber in the City Hall of said City of Redwood City, as the time and
<br />place when the owner of the building situated upon said hereinafter
<br />described real property could appear and be heard and show cause why
<br />said building should not be condemned as a public nuisance and abated
<br />by re -constructing or properly repairing said building or by razing or
<br />re -moving the same; and
<br />WHEREAS, said time of hearing was regularly continued by this
<br />Council from the 15th day of,September, 1930, at the hour of 8:00 otclock
<br />P.M. until Monday the 6th day of October, 1930, at the hour of 7:30
<br />o'clock P.M.; and
<br />WHEREAS, said Council did proceed with said hearing and no
<br />objections or representations being made by the owner of the building
<br />situated upon the hereinafter described real property, and said Council
<br />having heard the testimony of the Building Inspector in relation. to the
<br />condition of the building or structure now situated upon said herein-
<br />after described real property.
<br />THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood
<br />City and said Council does hereby declare the building or structure''
<br />situated upon the hereinafter described real property to be a public
<br />nuisance and does hereby direct the.owner to abate said nuisance within
<br />thirty (30) days from the passage of this resolution, by having said
<br />building razed or re -moved, and if said building is not so abated by
<br />the owner the Building Inspector of the City of Redwood City is hereby
<br />ordered and directed to raze or remove said building and that the
<br />expenses thereof be made a lien on the lotor parcel of land from which
<br />said building or structure is removed and which is hereinafter described.
<br />The real property referred to herein upon which the building or structure
<br />hereinbefore mentioned is to be removed, is described as follows, to -wit:
<br />Portion of Block 9, Wooster, Whitton and Montgomery Subdivision,
<br />Roosevelt Avenue.
<br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City
<br />at a regular meeting thereof held on the 6th day of October, 1930, by
