MINUTES OF REGULAR ADJOURNED MEETI0 <br />RED4700D CITY COUNCIL <br />DEC. 22, 1930 <br />7: 30 PIAT <br />Upon roll call, the following Councilmen were present: Mayor D R Stafford, H A Beeger, <br />TT J Dusel, E B Ilinman, P A McCarthy, G N Mollulty. City Clerk B E Myers. Absent: <br />Councilman C J Hildebrant. <br />Upon motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Dusel, the minutes of the meeting <br />of December 15th were approved. <br />Yxs.17m. 71. Dement, interested in Lot 1, Block 10, Wellesley Park, Sub. A. appeared before <br />the Council to ask that she and her husband be allowed War Veterans Exemption of their <br />property due to the fact that they were not familiar with the process and had not <br />filed exemption papers in time. It was decided, upon motion of Councilman Hinman, <br />seconded by Councilman Beeger, to authorize the City Collector to allow the exemption. <br />D. P. Flynn for the Extension-of-1dain-Street Committee reported favorable progress whereupon <br />Councilman Dusel offered the following resolution No. N-1 covering the description of <br />parcels to be acquired and defining the limits of the district. This was seconded by <br />Councilman Hinman. <br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION 110. N-1. <br />RESOLVED, that the public interest wid convenience require and <br />that it is the intention of the Council of the City of Redwood City, <br />County of Bar,ITatoo, State of California, to order the following work <br />to be done and improvements to be made in said City of Redwood City, <br />to -grit: <br />That Hain Street in the City of Redwood City be opened azld extended <br />to a uniform width of eighty (80) feet from Bradford Street to the Bay - <br />shore Highway, said opening and extension to extend forty (40) feet on <br />each side of the centerline of Main Street extended to the Bayshore <br />Highway. <br />That the lands necessary and convenient to be taken for the <br />improvement hereinbefore mentioned are described as follows, to writ: <br />PARCEL 1. <br />Beginning at the point of intersection of the northerly line of <br />Bradford Street with the northerly production of the centerline of Main <br />Street, from which point an iron pin set to mark the southeasterly corner <br />of Iain and Bradford Streets bears South 30 301 East 96.5 feet and North <br />860 301 East 35.00 feet; thence from said point of beginning Along the <br />northerly line of Bradford Street South 860301 West 45 feet; thence <br />leaving said line of Bradford Street, northeasterly on the are of a curve <br />to the left, said curve being tangent to last mentioned course, with a <br />radius of 10 feet, a distance of 15.71 feet; thence North 30 30t lest <br />233 feet more or less to the center of Redarood Creek; thence along center <br />of Redwood Creel: northeasterly 71 feet more or less to a point on the <br />northerly production of the easterly line .of Main Street; thence South <br />30 301 East 246.00 feet; thence on the arc of a curve to the left, said <br />curve being tangent to last mentioned course, with radius of 10 feet, <br />a distance of 15.71 feet to the northerly line of Bradford Street; <br />-thence along said line South 860 301 West 45 feet to the point of beginning. <br />PARCEL 2. <br />Beginning at a point in the center of Redwood Creek from which <br />point an iron pin set to mark the southeasterly corner of Yain and Brad- <br />ford Streets bears South 30 301 East 256 feet, South 810 301 lest 5.00 <br />feet and South 30 301 East 96.5 feet; said point of beginning being also <br />the northeasterly corner of parcel 1, as above describers; thence from <br />said point of beginning along the center of Redwood Creek and the north- <br />erly line of Parcel 1, southwesterly 81 feet, more or less, to the north- <br />westerly corner of said Parcel 1; thence North 30 301 west 112.70 feet; <br />thence on a curve to tho left with a radius of 25 foot, the chord of <br />343 <br />
