379 <br />The City Engineer submitted to the Council Plans, Profiles, and Specifications for the <br />Extension of Main Street. <br />Councilman Hildebrant, seconded by Councilman Hinman, offered the following resolution <br />adopting these Plans, Profiles, and Specifications: <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING PLANS, PROFILES AND SPECIFICATIONS NO. N-2 <br />RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redmod City, County of <br />San Mateo, State of California, that the plans, profiles, detailed draw- <br />ings and specifications for doing the following work and making the follow- <br />ing improvements in said City, to wit: <br />That Main Street between the southerly line of Bradford Street and <br />the southerly line of Bay Shore Highway be improved as follows, to -wit: <br />1. That a reinforced concrete bridge of two (2) thirty (30) foot <br />spans for the full width of the street and having four (4) wing walls <br />be con structed across Redwood Creek. <br />2. That a twelve (12) inch cement concrete pipe storm sewer be <br />constructed, the -southerly end of said sewer being at a point on the <br />southerly roadway line of Bradford Street two (2) feet westerly from the <br />easterly line of blain Street and extending thence across Bradford Street <br />to a point on the northerly line of Bradford Street five (5) feet west- <br />erly from the easterly line of Main Street and thence on a line parallel <br />to and five (5) feet westerly from the easterly line of Main Street to <br />and through the southerly abutment of the concrete bridge hereinbefore <br />described to be constructed across Redwood Creek, with one (1) rein- <br />forced concrete storm water inlet with cast iron frame and grating to be <br />constructed at the southerly end of said sewer; that an eitht (8) inch <br />cement concrete pipe storm drain be constructed from the twelve (12) inch <br />storm sewer hereinabove described and connected therewith at the northerly <br />roadway line of Bradford Street and extending along said northerly line <br />of Bradford Street easterly for a distance of fifteen (15) feet and at <br />the easterly end of said storm drain one (1) reinforced concrete storm <br />water inlet with cast iron frame and grating be constructed. <br />3. That slain Street be graded from the northerly roadway line of <br />Bradford Street to the southerly end of the concrete bridge hereinbefore <br />described to be constructed across Redwood Creek, and from the north- <br />erly end of said bridge to the southerly line of the Bay Shore Highway, <br />said grading to be for the full width of the street. <br />4. That Main Street be paved with an asphaltic macadam pavement <br />two (2) inches in thickness for a roadway width of forty (40) feet and <br />extending twenty (20) feet on either side of the centerline of said Main <br />Street, from the northerly line of the roadway of Bradford Street to the <br />southerly end of the concrete bridge to be constructed across Redwood <br />Creek and from the northerly end of said bridge to the southerly line of <br />the Bay Shore Highway. <br />AND WHEREAS, the City Engineer of the City of Redwood City has sub- <br />mitted and filed with said plans, profiles detailed drawings and specifi- <br />cations a map or plat showing the assessment district of lands benefited <br />by the work and improvements herein described, which map or plat is enti- <br />tled "Map Showing Assessment District under Resolution of Intention No. N-2". <br />AND WHEREAS, said plans, profiles, detailed drawings and specifi- <br />cations and the map or plat showing said assessment district benefited <br />by the work and improvements herein described have been examined by <br />and are satisfactory to said Council. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood <br />City that said plans, profiles, detailed drawings and specifications for <br />the work and improvements_hereinbefore mentioned, submitted by the City <br />!� Engineer of the City of R dwood City on the 16th day of Burch, 1931, be <br />and the same are hereby adopted as and for the plans, profiles, detailed <br />J drawings and specifications for said work and improvements herein described. <br />1 <br />{ NOW THEREFORE, be it further resolved by the Council of the City <br />of Redwood City that the map or plat showing the assessment district <br />benefited by the work and improvements herein described, which map or <br />i plat is entitled "Map Showing the Assessment District under Resolution <br />of Intention No. N-2", be and the same is hereby adopted and approved <br />and said Council does hereby determine and declare that the foregoing <br />j described work and improvements are of more than local or ordinary <br />public benefit and will effect and benefit the lands and district shown <br />on the hereinbefore mentioned map or plat entitled "Map Showing Assess - <br />went District under Resolution of Intention No. N..2", which district <br />described and shown on said map or plat said Council hereby declares <br />i to be -the district benefited by said work and improvements; and <br />y <br />
