W1 <br />N-2, Extension of Main Street <br />Councilman Hinman, seconded by Councilman McCarthy, offered resolution ordering Plans, <br />Profiles, and Specifications for the extension of Main Street, as follows: <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING PLANS, PROFILES AND SPECIFICATIONS NO. N-2 <br />RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City, County of <br />San Mateo, State of California, that C.L. Difimitt, City Engineer of said <br />City, be and he is hereby ordered to prepare plans, profiles, detailed <br />drawings, specifications and estimates for doing the following work and <br />making the following improvements in said City, to -wit: <br />That Main Street between the southerly line of Bradford Street and <br />the southerly line of Bay Shore Highway be improved as f ollows, to -wit: <br />9 <br />1. That a reinforced concrete bridge of two (2) thirty (30) foot z <br />spans for the full width of the street and having four (4) wing walls <br />be constructed across Redwood Creek. <br />2. That a twelve (12) inch cement concrete pipe storm sewer be <br />constructed, the southerly end of said sewer being at a point on the <br />southerly roadway line of Bradford Street two (2) feet westerly from the <br />easterly line of Main Street and extending thence across Bradford Street <br />to a point on the northerly line of Bradford Street five (5) feet west- <br />erly from the easterly line of main Street and thence on a line parallel <br />to and five (5) feet westerly from the easterly line of Main Street to <br />and through the southerly abutment of the concrete bridge hereinbefore <br />described to be constructed across Redwood Creek, with one (1) rein- <br />forced concrete storm water inlet with cast iron frame and grating to be <br />constructed at the southerly end of said sewer; that an eight (8) inch <br />cement concrete pipe storm drain be constructed from the twelve (12) inch <br />storm sewer hereinabove described and connected therewith at the northerly <br />roadway line of Bradford Street and extending along said northerly line <br />of Bradford Street easterly for a distance of fifteen (15) feet and at <br />the easterly end of said storm drain one (1) reinforced concrete storm <br />water inlet with cast iron frame and grating be constructed. <br />3. That Main Street be graded from the northerly roadway line of <br />Bradford Street to the southerly end of .the concrete bridge hereinbefore <br />described to be constructed across Redwood Creek, and from the north- <br />erly end of said bridge to the southerly line of the Bay Shore Highway, <br />said grading to be for the full width of the street. <br />4. That Main Street be paved with an asphaltic macadam pavement <br />two (2) inches in thickness for a roadway width of forty (40) feet and <br />extending twenty (20) feet on either side of the centerline of said Main <br />Street, from the northerly line of the roadway of Bradford Street to the <br />southerly end of the concrete bridge to be constructed across Redwood <br />Creek and from the northerly, end of.said bridge to the southerly line of <br />the Bay Shore Highway, <br />R <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at <br />a regular meeting thereof, held on the 16th day of March, 1931,, by the <br />following vote: <br />Ayes and in favor of the passage of the foregoing Resolution, <br />Councilmen: H A Beeger, W J Dusel, C J Hildebrant, E B Hinman, P A McCarthy, <br />G W McNulty, D R Stafford. 11 <br />Noes and against the passage of the foregoing Resolution, <br />Councilmen: NONE <br />Absent: Councilmen NONE, <br />DANIEL R STAFFORD <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City mom <br />Attest: <br />B E bfYERS <br />Clerk of the City of -Redwood City <br />I hereby approve the foregoing resolution this 16th day of March, <br />1931. <br />DANIEL R STAFFORD <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />
