<br />Councilman Hinmen, seconded by Councilmen Dusel, offer d A solution awarding the contract
<br />to W 0 Tyson who was the lowest responsible bidder. Upon proper motion the Clerk was
<br />instructed to return the checks of the unsuccessful bidders.
<br />The Attorney also spoke concerning the changing of the names of certain streets and that he
<br />was holding up the ordinance because of some difficulty in arranging the remsabering, N
<br />It was finally decided to hold this matter in abeyance until the Engineer could bring
<br />in a complete report on this subject.

<br />The City Attorney submitted affidavits of posting and publishing of notice of filing amended
<br />street assessment under=Resolution of Intention.I-5 which were ordered filed, upon motion
<br />of Councilman Ifoarthy, seconded by Councilman Hildebrant. Whereupon, Councilman McCarthy,
<br />seconded by Councilman Dusel, offered resolution confirming, the amended assessment
<br />originally assessed against Lot S. Block 8, Edgewood Park, as follows:
<br />RESOLUTION CONFIRMING AHEN DED ASSESSMENT.
<br />WHEREAS, under the direction of the Council of the City of
<br />Redwood City, the Street Superintendent did, on the 25th day of March,
<br />1931, file with the Clerk of said city the amended assessment for
<br />street vrork done under Resolution of Intention No. I-5 and assessed
<br />against lot 5;in block 8, as shown on the "Map of Edgewood Park", of
<br />record in the Recorder's office of the County of San Mateo, State of
<br />California. Reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention
<br />No. I-50 now on file in the office of the Clerk of the City of Redwood
<br />City for further partioulars, and
<br />WHEREAS, the Clerk of the City of Redwood City did thereupon
<br />fix Monday, the 20th day of April, 19318 at the hour of 8:00 o'clock
<br />p.m. of said day, at the meeting place of the Council of the City of
<br />Redwood City, as the time and place for a hearing on said amended
<br />assessment and as the time and place when amy person interested in
<br />said amended assessment and having Any objection to the correctness
<br />thereof, -shall appeal to the Council of the City of Redwood City by
<br />briefly stating'in writing their grounds of appeal, and
<br />WHEREAS, notice of the filing of said amended street assessment
<br />and of time fixed for hearing thereon was duly given by posting and
<br />publication, as required by ler, as appears from the affidavits of
<br />B.E. Myers, City Clerk, and D. Heydenfeldt, now of record in the
<br />office of the Clerk of said City of Redwood City, and
<br />WHEREAS, no objections of any kind were made to said amended
<br />street assessment. .
<br />THEREF(W BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood
<br />City that said amended assessment hereinbefore referred to, be and the
<br />same is hereby adopted, approved and confirmed.
<br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City
<br />dt a regular meeting thereof held on the 20th day of April, 19319 by
<br />the following vote:
