<br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
<br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL
<br />JUNE 1, 1931
<br />8:00 PM
<br />Upon roll call, the following Councilmen were present: Mayor D R Stafford, H A Beeger, W J Dusel,
<br />C J Hildebrant, E B Hinman, P A McCarthy, Geo W McNulty. City Clerk B E Myers.
<br />On motion of Councilman Dusel, seconded by Councilman McCarthy, the minutes of the meeting of.
<br />May 18th were approved..
<br />In a communication to the Council, the City Manager submitted bids for the installation of
<br />automatic traffic signals at Five Points as follows:
<br />Butte Electric & Manufacturing Co $1,420.00
<br />City Improvement Company 1,498.00
<br />On motion of Councilman Hildebrant, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the contract was
<br />awarded to the Butte Electric & Manufacturing Company, 956 Folsom Street, San Francisco,
<br />for $1,420.00 as recommended by the City Manager with instructions to the Clerk that the
<br />certified check of the City Improvement Company be returned.
<br />Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman McNulty, offered the following Resolution accepting
<br />deed from the Southern Pacific Company for certain parcels of land necessary for the
<br />widening of the Highway near Wellesley Park:
<br />RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City that the
<br />hereunto annexed deed, dated the 28th day of January, 1928, and made
<br />between SOUTHERN PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY, a corporation, and its
<br />f
<br />Lessee, SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY, a corporation, first parties, and
<br />the CITY OF REIY900D CITY, a municipal corporation of the State of Cal-
<br />ifornia, party of the second part, be -and the same is hereby accepted
<br />by the City of Redwood City, and the Clerk of this Council is hereby
<br />ordered to have the same recorded in the office'of the County Recorder
<br />of the County of San Mateo, State of California.

<br />I hereby certify that the foregoing rosolution was duly and
<br />regularly passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood

<br />City at a regular meeting thereof held on the 1st day of June, 1931,
