1.1 <br />o <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />REWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 2001931 <br />8:00 PM <br />Upon roll call, the following Counoilmen were present: Mayor DR Stafford, H A Beeger, <br />W J Dusel, C J Hildebrant, E B Hinman, P A McCArthy, G W McNulty. City Clerk <br />B.E.Myers. <br />The minutes of the meeting of July 6 were approved, on motion of Counoilman Dusel, <br />seconded by Councilman Hildebrant. <br />Under the procedure for the opening and,t-*idening.of Hudson Street, the Clerk reported <br />no written protests. <br />A. Hess complained of the condition of the roadway at the intersection of Middlefield Road <br />and Fuller and the matter was referred to the City Manager and City Engineer <br />to remedy the difficulty, on motion of Councilman Beeger, seconded by Councilman <br />McCarthy. <br />A letter was read from the Planning Commission indicating that the term of Councilman <br />Dusel had expired and recommended his reappointment, which was done by Mayor <br />Stafford and ratified by the Council. <br />J. Lopez made application to pperate a pool hall and the permit was granted, on motion <br />of Councilman McCarthy,seoonded by Councilman McNulty, <br />The Art Fixture Shop of San Jose made application for license to install electrical <br />fixtures and the permit was granted on motion of Councilman McCarthy,aeconded <br />by Counoilman Hildebrant. <br />Attention was called to Senate bills Nos. 26 and 83 and one copy was given to the <br />City Attorney and one copy ordered filed. <br />Affidavit of publication of Ordinance No. 328 fixing salary of fire chief was ordered <br />filed, on action of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman McNulty. <br />Immediately following, on motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Counoilman <br />Hinman, the ordinance was regularly adopted. Complete text at page <br />in Ordinance Book No. 3. <br />Affidavit of publication of ordinance for levying and collecting taxes was ordered <br />filed, on motion of Counoilman Hildebrant, seconded by Councilman McNulty. On <br />motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Hildebrant, the ordinance No.327. <br />Iitself was regularly adopted. Complete telt at page 14 3 in Ordinance Book No.3. <br />On motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Hildebrant, it was ordered to <br />appropriate $50.00 as a donation for the Y.M.I. Rodeo to take place August 2. <br />The City Manager presented the claim of the Poppy Bakery for refund on account of excessive <br />water bill and the Manager was instructed to ask the manager of the bakery to <br />appear before the Council at the next meeting. <br />On motion of Councilman Beeger, seconded by Councilman Hildebrant, W. 0. Tyson was granted <br />an extension of 90 days in which to complete his contract. <br />The City Manager discussed the desirability of changing the present sign at the highway <br />to a Neon sign and it was suggested that he check up on the prices. <br />�� <br />
