416 <br />The City Attorney submitted for consideration 123 resolutions ordering foreclosure <br />of property affected under the 1915 -Act assessment delinquencies and, upon <br />motion of Councilman Hinman, seconded by Councilman Dusel, they were adopted. <br />In the absence of the Chief of Police, Councilman McCarthy reported that the <br />Chief had gone on record as being.ggainst the idea of placing slow signs, <br />at the crossings of Hopkins, Whipple and Brewster Avenues, first, because <br />there were no funds for this consideivable expenditure and secondly, that j <br />the motorists might consider these avenues thoroughfares and exceed the <br />speed for traffic in those neighborhoods. <br />I <br />L. A. Heiner, representing the gommissioners under Resolution of Intention M-5 <br />(opening and widening of Hudson Street), explained to the Council that the <br />commissioners had been on this work for many months and they would'like to <br />have an advance in the way of payment even,though the proceeding itself <br />had not been fully decided upon, Upon motion of Councilman Hinman, <br />seconded by Councilman McNulty, an advance of $750, $250 for each of <br />the commissioners, was granted. ' <br />on motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Hildebrant; the <br />Police Department was asked to investigate concerning Grant U. Flood, <br />who had been given a revocable permit to gather junk, and to report back <br />to the Council. <br />The approved bills vvere ordered paid,.on motion of Councilman MoNulty,seconded <br />by Councilman Hildebrant. !�! <br />Reports of the different department9for the month of dune were ordered filed, <br />on motion of Councilman, MoCarthy, seconded by.Councilman Dusel. <br />Adjourment. <br />c� �o E.
