uniform width of sixty (60) feet from Jefferson Avenue to Madison Ave-
<br />nue through Block 2 of Jefferson Acres; that Hudson Street in the
<br />City of Redwood City from Madison A enue to Redwood Avenue be widened
<br />to a uniform width of sixty (60) feet; that May Street in the City of
<br />Redwood City from Redwood Avenue to the Woodside Road be widened to a
<br />uniform width of sixty (60) feet.
<br />AND WHEREAS, notices of the passage of said Resolution of Inten-
<br />tion No. M-5 were duly and legally posted and published, as required
<br />by law, as appears from the affidavits of C.L. Dimmitt, Street Super-
<br />intendent of the City of Redwood City, and Lora C. Benning, now on
<br />file in the office of the Clerk of said City of Redwood City, and
<br />WHEREAS, the Council of said City of Redwood City did there-
<br />after, and on the 16th day of June, 1930, pass and adopt resolution
<br />ordering the work Number M-5,•in which Resolution said Council did
<br />appoint L.A. HEINER, WALTER T. KELLOGG and E.B. FOX, as Commissioners
<br />to assess benefits and damages and have charge of the proposed work
<br />and improvements described in said Resolution of Intention No. 11-5
<br />and hereinbefore described, until the completion thereof and in com-
<br />pliance with that certain Act of the Legislature of the State of
<br />California, entitled "An Act to -Provide for laying out, Opening,
<br />Extending, Widening, Straightening or Closing up, in Whole or in Park,
<br />any Street, Square, Lane, Alley, Court or Place within Municipalities,
<br />and to Condemn and Acquire any and all Land and Property Necessary or
<br />Convenient for that Purpose", approved march 6, 1889, and the several
<br />Acts amendatory thereof or supplementary thereto, and
<br />WHEREAS, said above named Commissioners thereafter duly
<br />qualified, as provided by law, and
<br />WHEREAS, said Commissioners did on the 8th day of June, 1931,
<br />make a written report to the Council of said City of Redwood City,
<br />which report was accompanied by a plat of the assessment district
<br />showing the lands to be taken for the work and improvements herein-
<br />before mentioned and the lands assessed, showing the relative location
<br />of each district, block, lot or portion of lot and its dimensions to
<br />far as said dommissioners could reasonably ascertain the same; that
<br />said report contained an assessment of the benefits and damages to
<br />all lots or portions of lots in said assessment district, which dis-
<br />trict is described in said Resolution of Intention No. M-5, now on
<br />file in the office of the Clerk of said City of Redwood City, to which
<br />reference is hereby made for a description of said district and for
<br />further partioulars, and
<br />WHEREAS, said report, assessment and plat have been filed in
<br />the office of the Clerk of the Council of said City of Redwood City
<br />and is now on file therein, and
<br />WHEREAS, said Clerk did give notice of the filing of said
<br />report, assessment and plat in his office, as required by law, as
<br />appears from the affidavit of D. Heydenfeldt, now on file in the
<br />office of the Clerk of said City of Redwood,City, and
<br />WHEREAS, in and by said notice said Clerk did fix Monday, the
<br />20th day of July, 1931, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m, of said day,
<br />as the time and place on or before which all persons interested and
<br />objecting to said report, assessment and plat could make their objections
<br />thereto in writing, as provided by the provisions of the hereinbefore
<br />mentioned Act, and
<br />WHEREAS, within the time fixed in said notice and as allowed by
<br />law, when persons interested and objecting to said report, assessment
<br />and plat could make their objections, no person or persons appeared
<br />and objected and no objections of any kind were made in writing or
<br />otherwise, against the report, assessment and plat, and said Council
<br />of the City of Redwood City now having acquired jurisdiction in said
<br />matter and after fully considering said report, assessment and plat,
<br />it is hereby resolved by the Council of the City of Redwood City that
<br />the report, assessment and plat for the work and improvements herein-
<br />before mentioned and described under Resolution of Intention No. M-5,
<br />passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City on the
<br />7th day of April, 1930, be and the same is hereby confirmed, approved
<br />and adopted, and
<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood
<br />City that the owner or owners of any lot or parcel of land situated
<br />within the assessment district described in said Resolution of Intention
<br />No. M-5 against which an assessment has been made for the improvements
<br />described in said Resolution, when the amount of such assessment is
<br />of fifty (050) dollars or over, may at any time prior to delinquency
<br />elect to pay such assessment in installments and to have an improve-
<br />ment bond issued against such lot in the form and manner and with the
<br />effect provided in that certain Act of the Legislature of the State of
<br />California entitled "An Act Providing for the Issuance of Improvement
<br />Bonds to Represent certain Special Assessments for Public Improvements
