M R'T�7 <br />SECTION 2. Said bonds shall be issued in series, and the <br />unpaid assessments, as shown on said list filed by the Sup rintendent <br />of Streets and determined by the City Council of the City of Redwood <br />City, together with the interest thereon, shall remain and constitute <br />a trust fund for the redemption and payment of said bonds and the <br />interest to become due thereon, which unpaid assessments shall be pay— <br />able in annual series corresponding in number to the number of series <br />of bonds issued, and an even annual proportion of each assessment shall <br />be payable in each year preceding the date of the maturity of each <br />of the several series of bonds issued, and such proportion of each <br />assessment coming due in any year, together with the annual interest <br />thereon, shall in turn be payable in installments as the general taxes <br />of the city on real property are payable, and shall become delinquent <br />at the same time and in the same proportionate amounts and bear the <br />same proportionate penalties for delinquency. Said bonds shall be <br />signed by the Treasurer of said City of Redwood City and be counter— <br />signed by the Clerk of said city, who shall affix thereto the corporate <br />seal of said city. The interest coupons attached to said bonds shall <br />be signed by the Treasurer of said city, or bear his engraved, printed <br />or lithographed signature, and such signing and sealing of said bonds <br />by said officers, and the signing of said coupons by said Treasurer, <br />shall constitute and be a binding execution of each and every one of <br />said bonds and all of said coupons thereof, respectively. Said bonds <br />shall be substantially in the form set forth in the "Improvement Bond <br />Act of 1915" of the State of California, as amended and now in effect. <br />The interest coupons attached to said bonds and evidencing the interest <br />to accrue and become due thereon shall be numbered consecutively, <br />beginning with the number "one", inclusive and shall be substantially <br />in the follbwing form, to—wit: <br />Coupon No. $ <br />The City of Redwood City, California, will pay to the bearer <br />hereof, on the second day of , 19 , at the office of the <br />Treasurer of said city the sum of $ being the semi—annual <br />interest due on Improvement Bond No. , Series No. <br />Dated: <br />Treasurer of the City of <br />Redwood City. <br />Said bonds shall forthwith be delivered to the Contractor <br />in -satisfaction of the balance due upon the assessment and warrant. <br />I hereby certify that the foregoing order and resolution <br />was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the <br />City of Redwood City at a regular meeting thereof held on the 18th dap <br />of January, 1932, by the following vote: <br />Ayes, Councilmen R A BEEGER, W J DUSELI C J HILDEBRANT, <br />C G LAMBERT, P A MC CARTHY, G W MC NULTY, D R STAFFORD. <br />Noes, Councilmen NONE. <br />Abdent: Councilmen NONE. <br />DANIEL R STAFFORD <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />Attest: <br />B E MYERS <br />Clerk of the City of Redwood City <br />Attorney A.J. Stebenne and Antonio Monteverde appeared before the Council concerning <br />the Manuel Vierra property and brought up the question of refund of $100 promised <br />if the delinquency wasell taken care of. Upon the signing of a special agreement <br />whereby the Vierras were to be permitted to occupy this property until November, <br />1932, $100 was ordered refunded to Antonio Monteverde, on motion of Councilman <br />McCarthy, secondo%.,by Councilman Hildebrant. <br />George McQueen, representing the Redwood City Tribune, explained the intention to bring <br />out a special issuein connection with the formal opening of the new Tribune <br />building and asked that the Council appropriate $85 to take a page ad in this <br />issue. This was done, on motion of Councilman Lambert, seconded by Councilman <br />McNulty. <br />In connection with the petition for two—light electroliers on Main Street.between Maple <br />and E1 Camino Real, the City Attorney submitted a resolution as a first step in <br />6hese proceedings. This resolution was formally adopted by unanimous vote, on <br />motion of Councilman Dusel, seconded by Councilman Hildebrant. On motion of <br />Councilman Hildebrant, seconded by Councilman McCarthy, the City Clerk was <br />directed to send out cards to the property owners concerned to get an expression <br />of opinion, following out the legal requirements. <br />0 <br />
