I <br />I <br />i <br />shall be apportioned amongst the cities of said county and the un— <br />incorporated area of said county on the basis of registration of <br />motor vehicles. Of said apportionment, three—fourths shall go into <br />a fund of the cities; the remaining one—fourth resulting from city <br />registration, together with all revenue resulting from rural regis— <br />tration and all receipts for license plates, etc., shall be paid into <br />the county treasury. The same restrictions on expenditures shall be <br />made for the cities as now exists for the counties, with the further <br />provision that all such funds shall be expended only according to a <br />financial plan in each case which shall be based upon a competent <br />physical plan, including a classification of existing traffic routes <br />and proposed alterations therein and extensions thereto. <br />3. Nothing in the resolution shall be construed to limit <br />the existing authority of counties to'meet needs within incorporated <br />cities. <br />4. That the Legislative Committee be instructed to prepare <br />the necessary legislation looking to this end and that said Committee <br />have authority to amend, alter or revise this plan as seems essential <br />to assure an equitable allocation of gas tax monies to the cities, and <br />® BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Directors of the <br />League of California Municipalities shall create a large state—wide com— <br />mittee, representing the municipalities of all sections of the State for <br />the purpose of assisting the Legislative Committee, both before and during <br />the next session of the Legislature, in accomplishing the purpose of this <br />resolution. <br />The above Resolution was duly passed and adopted by the Council <br />of the City of Redwood City on the 5th day of December, 1932, by the fol— <br />lowing vote: <br />Ayes and in favor of the Resolution: H. MYERS <br />Clerk of the City of Redwood City <br />The City Manager asked the Council for its attitude toward illuminating the cross during the <br />Christmas holidays and was instructed that it seemed a desirable thing to do. <br />The City Tax Collector was instructed to continue receiving taxes without penalties up to and <br />including the 16th of the month. <br />
