M. <br />Upon roll call, the following Councilmen were present: Mayor, C. G. Lambert, L. C. Christensen, <br />'i <br />J. M. Eva, E. A. Pletcher, R. N. Jones, P. A. McCarthy, G. A. McNulty, City Clerk, B. E. <br />} <br />Myers. Absent: None. <br />The minutes of the meeting of July 22, 1935, were approved on motion of Councilman Jones, <br />seconded by Councilman McNulty. <br />It Upon motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Eva, the Bank of America, Redwood City <br />Branch, and the First National Bank, of Redwood City, were designated as banks acceptable <br />for the deposit of city fiends. <br />Emil Dehoff asked the Council to agree to some arrangement allowing him to build a ways at the <br />Harbor and the City Manager presented a suggested agreement which he thought would be ad- <br />visable at the time. On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Christensen, <br />the Manager was authorized to enter into a contract with Mr. Dehoff in line with the <br />suggestions made. <br />T. J. Henderson, appeared before the Council to ask permission to operate a taxi service in <br />Redwood City. On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Eva, permission was <br />granted. <br />In connection with the granting of taxi licenses and especially for renewals, it was decided on <br />N <br />motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, that before the issuance <br />4 <br />r of permit or license, sufficient insurance coverage be obtained and approved by the City <br />Attorney. <br />f The City Attorney made a few remarks about the extension of Hudson Street and promised further <br />!� <br />� report later. <br />L <br />Discussion of the extension of Rogers Street was continued until the next meeting. <br />E <br />{ Councilman Eva asked about parking and traffic regulations. Referred to the City Manager for <br />check and report. <br />Councilman Jones also asked if something could be done about the confusion arising from the <br />and Basi' <br />extension of Myrtle Street across and south^of Jefferson Avenue.
