The Building Inspector presented a request from Foster & Kleiser in which they desired to erect a ♦ 1 - Y Y large sign on the highway on the Southern.Facific property directly opposite Harrison Street. I+ On motion of Councilman Hildebrant, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the request was denied. The approved claims were ordered paid on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Hildebrant. Adjournment. �o City C BEM:MR MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL APRIL 3t 1933 8:00 P.M. Upon roll call, the following Councilmen were present: Mayor W. J. Dusel, H. A. Beeger, C. J. Hildebrant, R. N. Jones, C. G. Lambert, Geo. W. McNulty, City Clerk, B. E: Myers. Absent: Paul A. McCarthy. ` Minutes of March 20 were approved by Councilman Hildebrant, seconded by Councilman Jones. In connection with the sign which the Council ordered removed, 0. H. Holt appeared before the Council and discussed the matter and maintained that if his sign were removed, other signs similarly _ placed should also be taken away. On motion of Councilman Lambert, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the matter was again referred to the Building Inspector for investigation, to report at the next meeting. D. P. Flynn; representing Muller, McGarvey and Flynn and also the interests of J. W. Poole, appeared M to ask the Council to dedicate a certain 20 ft. strip south of their property which is to be used for the new post office building. As the request was in line with the intention of the Council, Councilman Hildebrant offered the following resolution, seconded by Councilman McNulty, dedicating the particular parcel to public use as an alley. Resolved by the Council of the City of Redwood City that WHEREAS the City of Redwood City is the owner of the real property hereinafter herein described, and, Whereas the public interest and convenience require that said property be dedicated Qfor public use as an alley, , Now therefore, the Council of the City of Redwood City does resolve as follows, to—wit: That the following described real property to—wit that certain lot of land in the City of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of California, described as follows: BEGINNING at the point where the line dividing Lots 7 and 8 in Block 1, intersects the easterly line of Jefferson Avenue (formerly Washington Street), as shown on-OMap of the Property in Villa Lots of J.
