15 <br />Councilman Beeger, seconded by Councilman Lambert. <br />The Building Inspector presented a request from Foster & Kleiser in which they desired to erect a <br />♦ 1 - Y Y <br />large sign on the highway on the Southern.Facific property directly opposite Harrison Street. <br />I+ On motion of Councilman Hildebrant, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the request was denied. <br />The approved claims were ordered paid on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman <br />Hildebrant. <br />Adjournment. �o <br />City C <br />BEM:MR <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />APRIL 3t 1933 <br />8:00 P.M. <br />Upon roll call, the following Councilmen were present: Mayor W. J. Dusel, H. A. Beeger, C. J. <br />Hildebrant, R. N. Jones, C. G. Lambert, Geo. W. McNulty, City Clerk, B. E: Myers. Absent: <br />Paul A. McCarthy. <br />` Minutes of March 20 were approved by Councilman Hildebrant, seconded by Councilman Jones. <br />In connection with the sign which the Council ordered removed, 0. H. Holt appeared before the Council <br />and discussed the matter and maintained that if his sign were removed, other signs similarly <br />_ placed should also be taken away. On motion of Councilman Lambert, seconded by Councilman McNulty, <br />the matter was again referred to the Building Inspector for investigation, to report at the next <br />meeting. <br />D. P. Flynn; representing Muller, McGarvey and Flynn and also the interests of J. W. Poole, appeared <br />M <br />to ask the Council to dedicate a certain 20 ft. strip south of their property which is to be used <br />for the new post office building. As the request was in line with the intention of the Council, <br />Councilman Hildebrant offered the following resolution, seconded by Councilman McNulty, dedicating <br />the particular parcel to public use as an alley. <br />Resolved by the Council of the City of Redwood City that <br />WHEREAS the City of Redwood City is the owner of the real property hereinafter <br />herein described, and, <br />Whereas the public interest and convenience require that said property be dedicated <br />Qfor public use as an alley, <br />, <br />Now therefore, the Council of the City of Redwood City does resolve as follows, <br />to—wit: <br />That the following described real property to—wit that certain lot of land in the <br />City of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of California, described as follows: <br />BEGINNING at the point where the line dividing Lots 7 and 8 in Block 1, <br />intersects the easterly line of Jefferson Avenue (formerly Washington Street), as <br />shown on-OMap of the Property in Villa Lots of J.
