14 The City Attorney explained resolution directing the placing of stop signs at certain intersections with Broadway. Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Hildebrant, proposed the adoption of the following resolution: Resolved by the Council of the City of Redwood City that the Superintendent of Streets of said City be and is hereby ordered and directed under the provisions of the ordinances of said city to erect stop signs at the following places, to -wit: One on the northeasterly side of Broadway at the easterly line of Main Street; one on the westerly side of Main Street at the northeasterly line of Broadway; one on the easterly line of Jefferson Avenue at the southwesterly line of Broadway; one on the westerly line of Jefferson Avenue at the northeasterly line of Broadway; one on the easterly line of the -Middlefield Road at the southwesterly line of Broadway; one at the westerly line of the Middlefield Road at the north- easterly line of Broadway; one at the easterly line of Hamilton Street at the southweeterly line of Broadway; one on the westerly line of Hamilton Street at the northeasterly line of Broadway; one on the easterly line of Winslow Street at the southwesterly line of Broadway; one on the west- erly lineeof Winslow Street at the northeasterly line of Broadway; one on the southwesterly line of Arguello Street at the northeasterly line of Broadway; one on the southwesterly line of Perry Street at the northeasterly line of Broadway; and one on the easterly line -of California Street at the southwesterly line of Broadway; and one on the northeasterly line of Stambaugh Street at the easterly line of Main Street. Any person violating any of the provisions of this resolution by failing to stop at said stop signs mentioned herein shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and punished as provided by ordinances of said city regulating said stop signs and authorizing the passage of this resolution.. Passed and adopted by the council of the City of Redwood City at a regular meeting held on the 20th day of March, by the following vote: Ayes and in favor of the passage of the foregoing resolution: Councilman: H.
