i <br />9 <br />rN <br />182 <br />"An additional strip of land 30 feet by 100 feet adjoining <br />and southeasterly of the southeasterly line of that certain parcel <br />of land as described in the agreement between City of Redwood City <br />and Emil Dehoff, under date of August 14, 1935•11 <br />It was suggested to Mr. Dehoff that he file with the Council a statement, to be <br />checked by the City Manager and the Building Inspector, as to the amount of his <br />investment in this project. <br />As requested by Major Skeggs, and on motion of Councilman Eva, seconded by Councilman <br />Jones, resolution was unanimously adopted by which C. L. Dimmitt, Acting City <br />Manager, was authorized to sign, on behalf of the City, agreement with the Depart- <br />ment of Public Works, Division of Highways, concerning the expenditure of the <br />ore -quarter cent gas tax for streets of major importance in Redwood City covering <br />the fiscal year ending June 30, 1936. <br />In connection with the harbor appropriation, it was suggested that William Vielhauer, <br />Editor of the Tribune, because of his knowledge of the situation, get in touch <br />with Congressman McGrath to ascertain the status of money previously allocated <br />for the Redwood City Harbor. <br />On motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Christensen, the Clerk was <br />asked to write a letter to the Chamber of Commerce to thank that Body for follow- <br />ing out the suggestions of the City Council and cooperating in connection with <br />the closing of stores on certain holidays. <br />City Manager Dimmitt presented several bids for the purchase of fire hose, and upon <br />motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Eva, he was authorized to <br />accept the one which seemed most advantageous for the City. <br />The approved claims'were ordered paid on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by <br />Councilman Jones. <br />Adjournment. <br />BEM; MR <br />6.
