Unanimously carried. <br />The City Manager, according to the Charter, filed with the Council members, copies of the <br />preliminary proposed budget for the fiscal year 1936-1937, with the understanding <br />among the Council members that a general discussion would be had at some later <br />time. <br />The departmental reports were ordered filed. <br />The approved claims were ordered paid on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by <br />Councilman Hohn. <br />Adjournment. <br />k �. 111 <br />City Clerk <br />BEM:MR <br />\SII MINUTES OF REGULAR. MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 15, 1936 <br />8:00 P.M. <br />Upon roll call, the following Councilmen were present: Mayor, Paul A. McCarthy, L. C. <br />Christensen, J. 11. Eva, E. A. Fletcher, Wm. Rohn, R. N. Jones, G. W. McNulty. <br />Absent: City Clerk, B. E. Myers. <br />The minutes of the meeting of June 1, 1936, were approved as�a, on motion of Councilman <br />Hohn, seconded by Councilman Pletcher. <br />In the absence of City Clerk, B. E. Myers, Councilman Eva was chosen Clerk pro tem, on <br />motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Fletcher. <br />Mrs. A. W. Nelson, of 525 Vera Avenue, addressed the Council concerning the conditions <br />existing at the Union Cemetery on the Woodside Road., stating that something should <br />be done toward improving its appearance. Following the discussion, which was par- <br />ticipated in by several other citizens including Mrs. Hind and Major H. W. Edmonds, <br />Mayor McCarthy, on motion of Councilman Hohn, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, <br />appointed the following committee, consisting,of three Councilmen and three citizens <br />to work up a policy, to be submitted to the Council for improving the appearance of <br />the cemetery: Councilmen: G. W. McNulty, E. A. Fletcher, Wm. Hohn, Major H. W. <br />Edmonds, Mrs. A. W. Nelson and Mrs. Emmett Donnelly. The committee was also asked <br />to ascertain if the cemetery could be deeded to the City so it could arrange for its <br />upkeep, ownership now being held by the Governor of California. <br />
