211 <br />MINUTES OP REGULAR, MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY ,COUNCIL, <br />JULY 69:.1936. ' <br />9:00 P.M. <br />Upon roll call, the following Councilmen were present: Mayor Paul A. McCarthy <br />L. C. Christensen, J. M. Eva, E. A. Pletcher, Wm. Hohn, G. W. McNulty. <br />Absent: Councilman R. N. Jones and City Clerk, B. E. Myers. <br />The minutes of the meeting of June 15 1936, were approved as mailed, on <br />motion of Councilman Pletcher, seconded by Councilman Hohn. <br />In the.absence of City Clerk, B. E. Myers, Councilman Eva was chosen Clerk <br />pro tem, on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Hohn. <br />In a communication, the City Collector asked permission to stamp all delin- <br />quent entries on any tax roll with a rubber stamp, as follows: <br />„THIS UNPAID AMOUNT IS HEREBY TRANSPERRED TO DELINQUENT LEDGER AS <br />AUTHORIZED BY CITY COUNCIL JULY 6, 193611 <br />which will obviate the necessity of going back over past years' tax rolls <br />to mark the various delinquent amounts IIREDEEMEDII as such items are paid <br />off. Permission granted on motion of Councilman Eva, seconded by Councilman <br />Hohn. <br />On motion of Councilman Eva, seconded by Councilman McNulty, an ordinance was <br />introduced eliminating the present set back line of ten feet on the south- <br />westerly side of Main Street between E1 Camino Real and Maple Street and <br />increasing the present set back line of ten feet on the northeasterly side <br />of Main Street between El Camino Real and Maple Street to fourteen feet. <br />Permission was granted to the Shell 011 Company to construct a service station <br />at the corner of El Camino Real and Main Street in accordance with the <br />new set back lines, with the understanding that plans and specifications <br />should be approved by the Building Inspector, and subject to the final <br />adoption and establishment of the set back lines on Main Street.
