the construction of harbor facilities, including.acquisition of necessary land (herein called the ('Project") by making a grant to City of Redwood City, (herein called the "Applicant") in the amount of 45 percent of the cost of the Project upon completion, as determined by the Federal Emergency Administrator of Public Works, but not to exceed, in any event, the sum of 71,235. 2. This offer is conditioned upon a (a) The Applicant furnishing proof satisfactory to the Administrator that it has been substituted in the place of the San Mateo County Harbor District in -that district's agreement with the Board of Engineers for Harbors and Rivers; (b) The Applicant furnishing proof satisfactory to the Administrator that funds appropriated by Congress for improvements to the present channel are available and that such channel improvement will proceed simultaneously with the construction of the 2roject. That said City of Redwood City agrees to abide by all rales and regulations relating to such grant, a copy of which rules and regulations were annexed to the Government's offer and made a part'thereof. That the Clerk of the City of Redwood City be and he is hereby authorized and directed forthwith to send to the Federal Emergency Administration of .w Public Wor'_ks three (3) certified copies of this resolution and three (3) certified copies of the proceedings of this Council in connection with the adoption of this re- solution and such further documents or proofs in connection with the acceptance of said offer as may be requested by the Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works. Section 4. It is hereby further resolved, agreed and covenanted that work on the Project described in the offer will be commenced as early as possible, but in no event later than January 11, 1937; that work will be planned so that it will reach a substantial peak before April 11, 1937, and that the Pxoject will be completed by January 11, 1938. FLETCHER, Wm. HORN, R. N. JONES, G. W. McMMTY and PAUL A. McCARTHY. The following voting noes: Councilmen, NONE. Absent: Councilmen: NONE. The Mayor and President of the Council thereupon declared said resolution carried and the said Mayor and Clerk thereupon signed said resolution in approval thereof.
