the construction of harbor facilities, including.acquisition of necessary land (herein <br />called the ('Project") by making a grant to City of Redwood City, (herein called the <br />"Applicant") in the amount of 45 percent of the cost of the Project upon completion, <br />as determined by the Federal Emergency Administrator of Public Works, but not to <br />exceed, in any event, the sum of 71,235. <br />2. This offer is conditioned upon <br />a <br />(a) The Applicant furnishing proof satisfactory to the Administrator <br />that it has been substituted in the place of the San Mateo County <br />Harbor District in -that district's agreement with the Board of <br />Engineers for Harbors and Rivers; <br />(b) The Applicant furnishing proof satisfactory to the Administrator <br />that funds appropriated by Congress for improvements to the <br />present channel are available and that such channel improvement <br />will proceed simultaneously with the construction of the 2roject. <br />I <br />UNITED STATES OF AMERICA <br />Federal Emergency Administrator <br />of Public Works <br />By HORATIO B. That said City of Redwood City agrees to abide by all rales and <br />regulations relating to such grant, a copy of which rules and regulations were annexed <br />to the Government's offer and made a part'thereof. <br />Section 3. That the Clerk of the City of Redwood City be and he is hereby <br />authorized and directed forthwith to send to the Federal Emergency Administration of <br />.w <br />Public Wor'_ks three (3) certified copies of this resolution and three (3) certified <br />copies of the proceedings of this Council in connection with the adoption of this re- <br />solution and such further documents or proofs in connection with the acceptance of said <br />offer as may be requested by the Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works. <br />Section 4. It is hereby further resolved, agreed and covenanted that work <br />on the Project described in the offer will be commenced as early as possible, but in <br />no event later than January 11, 1937; that work will be planned so that it will reach <br />a substantial peak before April 11, 1937, and that the Pxoject will be completed by <br />January 11, 1938. <br />PAUL A. CHRISTENSEN, J. M. EVA, E. A. FLETCHER, Wm. HORN, <br />R. N. JONES, G. W. McMMTY and PAUL A. McCARTHY. <br />The following voting noes: Councilmen, NONE. <br />Absent: Councilmen: NONE. <br />The Mayor and President of the Council thereupon declared said resolution carried and <br />the said Mayor and Clerk thereupon signed said resolution in approval thereof. <br />The City Manager reported the resignation of Nelson Andrews from the Harbor Advisory Committee <br />and his resignation whs accepted, on motion of Councilman Christensen, seconded by <br />
