, <br />0 <br />McCarthy, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the Council rejected the claim and the clerk <br />was recuested to notify the attorney to that effect. o <br />The City Manager discussed some of the details of acquiring the necessary operative property <br />of the Emerald Lake Water Company and especially brought out the desirability of clearing <br />9' <br />County taxes and other encumbrances applying to the property as well as an open account <br />due the National Meter Company. No definite motion was put through but the City Manager <br />was informally told to proceed to clear the operative property. <br />The approved claims were ordered paid on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman <br />Beeger. <br />Adjournment. <br />BEM:MR <br />City Clez <br />SPECIAL CALLED MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 22, 1933 <br />8:00 P.M. <br />Upon roll call, the following Councilmen were present: Mayor W. J. Dusel, H. A. Beeger, C. J. <br />Hildebrant, R. N. Jones, Geo. 14. McNulty, City Clerk, B. E. Myers. Absent: Councilmen <br />C. G. Lambert and Paul A. McCarthy. <br />Councilman Beeger proposed and moved the adoption of Resolutions accepting the following in- <br />struments: motion seconded by Councilman McNulty, and unanimously carried. <br />1. Easement, dated March 18, 1933, between the Lenolt Securities <br />Corporation and the City of Redwood City, a municipal corporation. <br />2. Deed, dated May 9, 1933, between the Anglo -California National <br />Bank of San Francisco, successor to Anglo -California Trust <br />Company, a corporation, and the City of Redwood City, a municipal <br />corporation. <br />3. Deed, dated May 5, 1933, between the Emerald Lake Water Company, a <br />corporation, and the City of Redwood City, a municipal corporation. <br />4. Deed, dated May 5, 1933, between the Lenolt Securities Corporation <br />and the City of Redwood City, a municipal corporation. <br />Upon motion of Councilman Hildebrant, seconded by Councilman Jones, it was authorized that a <br />warrant be drawn on the treasury in favor of the San Mateo County Title Company for <br />$2019.37 in payment of certain delinquent County taxes, installments on bonds and demand <br />of C. A. Hooper & Company, applying to operative property incident to the operation of <br />the Emerald Lake Water Company. <br />On motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Hildebrant, the City Attorney was <br />given permission to leave the state. <br />Adjournment. <br />City Clerk <br />BEM:MR / <br />•25 <br />
