MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 59 1933 <br />5:00 R.M. <br />Upon•roll call, the following Councilmen were present: Mayor W. J. Dasel, H. A. Seeger, <br />C. J. Hildebrant, R. N. Jones, C. G. Lambert, Paul A. McCarthy, Geo. Q. McNulty, City <br />Clerk, B. E. Myers. Absent: None. <br />Ths minutes of the meeting of W 15 and the special meeting of May 22 were approved on <br />motion of Councilman Lambert, seconded by Councilman McNulty. <br />Councilman Beeger, seconded by Councilman McNulty, proposed the adoption of resolution <br />accepting Deed from the�Lenolt Securities Corporation to the City of Redwood City, <br />executed May 5. Unanimously carried. <br />Paul 0. Nelson inquired concerning,regulatione governing the operation of a bus line through— <br />out Redwood City and was instructed to take up the matter with the City Attorney. <br />The Clerk read letters from Mrs. Kilbourne, President of the Redwood City Roman's Club, Mrs. <br />Seeba, Secretary of the Alpha Zeta Chapter of Delphian , and Mrs. Meneoian, Secretary <br />of the Redwood City Promotion Association, protesting any plan that would appropriate <br />any part of the grounds of the Sequoia Union High School for commercial development. On <br />motion of Councilman Beeger, seconded by Councilman Hildebrant, the Clerk,was instructed <br />to acknowledge the letters and to file them for future reference. <br />Mrs. M. E. Chapman again protested concerning the sign owned by C. H. Holt and asked to have <br />It removed. Councilman McCarthy agreed to see Mr. Holt about;it. <br />In a letter to Mayor Dusel, Holt & .Co. suggested that the neon electric.sign across E1 Camino <br />Real at Jefferson Avenue reading "EMERALD LASE" was for sale subject to offer. As it <br />had been rumored that the Lion's Club of Redwood City were thinking of donating the sign <br />to the City, the Manager was asked to see them about it. <br />Mayor Dusel spoke concerning the advisability of having Governor Rolph sign Senate Bill No. 583 <br />pertaining to certain changes in toning requirements and on motion of Councilmen Lambert, <br />seconded by Councilman McCarthy, the Clerk was instructed to send a telegram to that effect. <br />The City Clark placed before the Council applications for alcoholic beverage licenses. Upon <br />motion of Councilman Hildebrant, seconded by Councilman McNulty, all applications approved <br />by the Committee were granted and the City Collector authorized to issue licenses to them <br />with the understanding, however, that all applicants must pay up all other licenses in <br />arrears. <br />e <br />"ON -SALE" <br />Gordon Seeley <br />Max Segal <br />A.
