<br />The City Attorney presented the folloring Resolution of Intention No. 1937-1 in reference to the
<br />--nnexatien of the territory described in the petition just filed. Said Resolution of Inten-
<br />tior --as ui/ini-nusly adopted by the Councilmen present, upon motion of Councilma,_j Jones,
<br />seconded by Councilman: Christensen.
<br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION
<br />No, 1037-1
<br />WHEREAS, under the provisions
<br />of that certain act of the Legis-
<br />lature of the State of California,
<br />entitled "An Act to Provide for the
<br />Alteration of the Boundaries of
<br />and for the Annexation of Terri-
<br />tory to Municipal Corporations for
<br />the Incorporation of Such Annexed
<br />Territory In and as a Part There-
<br />of, and for the Districting, Govern-
<br />ment and Municipal Control of
<br />Such Annexed Territory" approved
<br />June 11, 1913, together with acts
<br />amendatory thereof, there was on
<br />the 1st day of February, 1937, filed
<br />with the Council of the City of
<br />Redwood City a petition in writing
<br />requesting that the hereinafter de-
<br />scribed territory be annexed to, in-
<br />corporated in and made a part of,
<br />the City of Redwood City.
<br />The exterior boundaries of said
<br />territory described in said petition
<br />and which territory is contiguous
<br />to the limits of the City of Red-
<br />wood City is described as follows,

<br />BEGINNING at the point of
<br />intersection of the easterly line
<br />of the Incorporated City of Red-
<br />wood City with the northwester-'
<br />ly line of that certain 58.50 foot
<br />right-of-way now or formerly
<br />owned by Southern Pacific Rail-
<br />road Company, same being de-
<br />scribed ,as Parcel 3, In Volume
<br />117 of Official Records, at page
<br />62, Records of San Mateo Coun-
<br />ty, State of California; thence

<br />northerly on and along the
<br />northwesterly line of said 55.50
<br />foot right-of-way above describ-
<br />ed to a point thereon which is
<br />distant 10 feet southerly from
<br />mean higher high water mark

<br />part) on the west bank of Boun-
<br />dary Slough; thence along the
<br />west bank of Boundary Slough in
<br />a westerly and northerly direc-
<br />tion and along the east bank of
<br />Redwood Creek In a southwester-
<br />ly, southeasterly anad southerly
<br />direction 10 feet distant Inland
<br />from and parallel to mean high-
