<br />In connection with Mr. Weiner's letter concerning the Planning Commission, it was de-
<br />cided that all names of applicants, or desirable prospective members, be filed with
<br />the City Clerk until Monday evening, March 9, and he was instructed to give all
<br />name Tuesday morning to the members of the Council. The same was to be true con-
<br />cerning the vacancy on the Library Board caused by the death of John Gill.
<br />Councilman Eva requested the Council to authorize proposal's for adjustments which his
<br />committee had worked out, and on motion of Councilman Eva, seconded by Councilman
<br />Pletcher, the Council ratified these proposals as itemized below:

<br />Mayor McCarthy appointed Councilman McNulty and the City Attorney as a committee to
<br />prepare resolution on the death of John Gill.
<br />The Mayor also asked Councilman Pletcher to serve with the City Manager and Julius Smith
<br />•+ on a committee to see what could be done about the.destruction caused by termites.
<br />The Clerk was asked to write the Trustees of the Sequoia Union High School concerning
<br />the possibility of including in the budget for the next year the cost of a sidewalk
<br />on the north side of James Street between E1 Camino Real and Elwood Street and to
<br />ask also what, if anything, was being done concerning the high fence along Broadway
<br />an4 Brewster Avenue.
<br />After explanation by the City Manager, Councilman Eva, seconded by Councilman McNulty,

<br />roposed the adoption of resolution whereby the City would consent to W. 0. Tyson,
<br />serving as a subcontractor under Healy-Tibbitts Construction Company.
