I
' "April 24 I received a check for $60.58 and on April 26 another check for
$1,070.10 toward charges against this property, and then on June 2, I re-
ceived a check of $2,952.09, which was supposed to pay up all the differ-
ence between the original figures and the amount the City agreed to accept.
These payments amount to $4,082.77 to which may be added $753.65 tax and
bond penalties which I have already cancelled. By subtracting this
$4,936.42, leaves a balance of $1,082.12.
The City Attorney tells me I may cancel the interest portion of the
assessments in order to offset this $1,092.12. Will you, therefore,
authorize me to cancel interest on Series J-10, $19.59, L-3, $949.72,
and N, $103.50. With this authorization I can balance my books in
accordance with the offer made to the property owner by Councilman Eva.°
On motion of Councilman Jones, seconded by Councilman Christensen, proper authorize -
tion was given.
