1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />"American War, especially those residing at the Veterans' Home in Napa <br />County, of which he served as h director, giving twenty-four years of <br />intelligent and loving service to promotion of the comforts and welfare <br />of its.residents; }pis wider public service during the seven years of <br />his distinguished administration of the office of County Clerk of San <br />Mateo County wherein he exemplified in a practical way his ideal that <br />a public office,is a place of public trust and by his courtesy and <br />efficiency endeared himself to the hundreds of citizens, members of <br />the bar, and fellow officials whom he served, as well as to depart- <br />mental deputies and employees to whom he was an inspiration as well <br />as friend; and <br />11BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that we hereby'attest the devotion of <br />Elmore Hinman to his mother, his.wife and his children,'to whom he was <br />an ideal son, husban& and father, as devoted to their welfare and <br />happiness as any true Christian man could be; and <br />"BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that we salute our late brother member as <br />a great citizen, soldier, veteran, business man, public servant, leader <br />of civic and socia- service, family man and ideal Christian friend; and <br />"BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be sent to <br />his family and to the Board of Supervisors of San Mateo County, and <br />that we adjourn this meeting in memory of our beloved friend, Elmore <br />Brown Hinman.° F <br />On motion of Councilman J.
